GWM launched this Monday (17) the 2026 Haval H6 line with visual changes, more technology and a slight increase in electric range in some versions. The plug-in hybrid SUV receives a new front end, minimalist interior and features such as facial recognition for starting the engine. Prices start at R$223,000 and reach R$325,000 in the GT variant.
The update comes at a time when the brand lost its leadership in hybrid and electric sales in Brazil to BYD. Data from Fenabrave shows that the BYD Song sold 30,335 units in 2025, compared to 25,373 for the Haval H6.
The versions maintain the 1.5 turbo engine combined with different levels of electrification, but the top-of-the-line PHEV35 had the battery expanded from 34 kWh to 35 kWh.
New external appearance

The front of the HEV2, PHEV19 and PHEV35 versions gained a grille with more robust elements and a smaller area for air intake. The daytime running light now forms a cascade design that extends along the sides of the headlights.
The GT version kept a more open grille for better cooling. All variants received newly designed wheels.
More minimalist and technological interior
The steering wheel now has only two shaftsfixings and completely black finish. The central screen has grown to 14.6 inches in all versions.
The system has facial recognition that allows you to start the car without a key and automatically adjusts the seat, mirrors and driver preferences. Gear control via rotary selector has been maintained.
Updated versions and prices

The 2026 line has four options available immediately at dealerships:
- Haval H6 HEV2 – R$ 223,000
- Haval H6 PHEV19 – R$ 248,000
- Haval H6 PHEV35 – R$ 288,000
- Haval H6 GT PHEV – R$325,000
The PHEV35 version replaces the old PHEV34 with a 35 kWh battery and an electric range of more than 100 km in the Inmetro cycle. The GT variant maintains the same mechanical package, but with performance-focused calibration.
Block-in-the-line performance
The Haval H6 GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, a number equal to that of some Porsche models. The set uses a 177 hp 1.5 turbo engine and two electric motors that deliver up to 449 hp combined in the highest versions.powerful.
All-wheel drive appears in the PHEV35 and GT configurations thanks to the electric motor on the rear axle. The average consumption of the PHEV35 version is 35.5 km/l with a charged battery, according to data from GWM.
Safety and comfort features
All versions come with a level 2 ADAS package with automatic braking, lane keeping and adaptive cruise control. Facial recognition works as an alternative to the in-person key.
The trunk varies from 560 liters in the HEV2 to 390 liters in the versions with a larger battery. The internal space remains the same as the previous model.
The Haval H6 2026 is now available across the entire GWM network in Brazil with a five-year warranty for the vehicle and eight years for the traction battery.
