Serviço Meteorológico Nacional (SMN) issued a warning for the arrival of cold front number 17 at México. Starting this Friday, November 28th, the country will face 72 hours of intense rain and wind gusts of up to 60 km/h. The forecast indicates greater accumulations in the north and east of the territory.
The cold front will move through the northeast on Saturday night and remain active until Tuesday. Regiões as well as Veracruz, Tamaulipas and Huasteca will record the heaviest precipitation. Autoridades recommend precautions against landslides and floods.
Areas most affected by precipitation
Eighteen Mexican states will face scattered rains this Friday. The SMN identified the regions most at risk of significant accumulations.
- Veracruz: 70 to 150 mm of rain expected
- South of Tamaulipas: Precipitações intense in Huasteca

- Coahuila: Nebulosidade and isolated precipitation

Wind gusts will reach 60 km/h in the most affected areas. The combination of precipitation and strong winds increases the risk of property damage.
