Citroën presented the ELO concept, a compact six-seater electric vehicle designed to maximize interior space in reduced exterior dimensions.
Just 4.10 meters long, the model adopts a dedicated electric platform, with an engine on the rear axle, allowing modular configurations for family transport, rest or work.
The concept will be publicly displayed on Salão of Automóvel of Bruxelas in January 2026.
The ELO represents the French brand’s vision to reinvent multi-use vehicles, prioritizing practicality in a world dominated by SUVs.
Driver’s central position
The driver’s seat is positioned in the center, similar to the layout of the McLaren F1, but adapted for a family vehicle.
This configuration increases frontal visibility and facilitates interaction with passengers when the vehicle is parked.
The steering wheel moves forward as far as possible to free up space, and the seat rotates 360 degrees.
The controls are concentrated on joysticks on the steering wheel, with information projected on the windshield.

Six-seat configuration
The ELO accommodates up to six occupants in a space equivalent to that of a compact hatchback.
The second row has three identical individual seats.
Two additional seats hide under the floor and emerge when needed.
The rear seats remove completely and serve as outdoor picnic chairs.
- Opposing sliding doors create a 1.92 meter opening without a central column.
- Flat floor facilitates internal movement.
- Banks use recycled materials from sportswear.
Rest mode with inflatable beds
The concept transforms into an overnight area for two people.
Two inflatable mattresses are stored in the trunk, without reducing the cargo volume.
Developed in partnership with Decathlon, they use Dropstitch material, the same as stand-up paddle boards.
An integrated compressor inflates the mattresses quickly.
Once positioned on the folded seats, they are suspended from the ceiling.
The internal rear lights convert into bedside lamps.
The roof opens for ventilation, and hooks allow you to install side awnings.
This configuration highlights the versatility of the ELO as a “tiny home on wheels.”
Resources for leisure and work
The interior includes a retractable projection screen for cinema sessions.
The driver’s seat accommodates a small tablet table, creating a mobile workstation.
V2L technology allows you to power external equipment, such as electric barbecues or speakers.
Onboard compressor inflates accessories such as floats or bicycle tires.
Smart tires, developed with the Goodyear, indicate pressure using colored LEDs.
External design and sustainable materials
ELO adopts a vibrant orange color that changes to yellow depending on the light, conveying optimism.
Boxy silhouette prioritizes function, with 21-inch wheels and futuristic covers.
Front and rear bumpers are identical to reduce production and repair costs.
Materials include recycled expanded polypropylene and durable washable fabrics.
The concept uses 30% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable.
Citroën’s vision for the future
CEO Xavier Chardon defines ELO as a laboratory of ideas aligned with current times.
The model explores innovative solutions for urban mobility, remote work and leisure.
Although there is no confirmation of production, the concept influences future compact vehicles from the brand.
Citroën emphasizes accessibility, efficiency and well-being over excessive size.
