Launch prices were strategically established, starting at R$189,990 for the GL version and R$199,990 for the GS. Essa pricing positions the SUV strongly against direct competitors in the automotive market, such as the Toyota Corolla Cross and Jeep Compass, targeting consumers in search of efficiency and technology.

Details of innovation and interior comfort

The Song Pro 2026 incorporates a series of carefully planned technological innovations to enhance the experience for both driver and passengers. State-of-the-art connectivity and an intuitive interface are central points, setting a new standard for the hybrid SUV segment in the country.

The 12.8-inch rotating multimedia center is one of the highlights, providing 4G connectivity, precise voice commands and fluid integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Complementando the cabin with a modern and clear interface, the 8.8-inch digital instrument panel provides all essential information to the driver.

The interior finish has received significant improvements, with soft-touch materials and two-tone coverings, such as light beige and brown, which give an air of sophistication. The elevated console and multifunctional steering wheel reinforce the feeling of ergonomics and control, while the 2.71 meter wheelbase ensures adequate space for five passengers, ideal for the needs of urban families.

Essa powerful combination results in a total power of 223 hp in the GL version and 235 hp in the GS, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 and 7.9 seconds, respectively. Apesar of the electric range has been adjusted to 39 km (GL) and 62 km (GS) by the Vehicle recharging is efficient, supporting up to 6.6 kW in alternating current, with charging times of approximately two hours for the 12.9 kWh battery of the GL version and around three hours for the 18.3 kWh battery of the GS version. The e-CVT transmission ensures smooth gear transitions, while front-wheel drive provides stable and predictable driving behavior.

    Utility style and functionality

The design of the Song Pro 2026 maintains the visual identity that has established it as one of the leaders in the hybrid segment on the market. The wide front grille, with chrome details, and vertical LED headlights reinforce BYD’s aesthetic signature, giving the vehicle an imposing presence on the streets and roads.

Measuring 4.74 meters long and 1.86 meters wide, the SUV is sized for family and urban use, offering a 520-liter trunk that meets daily needs well. The folding rear seats and the ISOFIX system make it easier to transport children and adapt the interior space, while the electric trunk unlocking provides practicality in everyday life.

    Market positioning and competitiveness

The Song Pro 2026 positions itself as an attractive and highly competitive option in the SUV segment, especially compared to rivals such as the Toyota Corolla Cross and Jeep Compass. The price reduction, combined with possible tax incentives, aims to make the model even more accessible, expanding its reach in the Brazilian market.

Cutting-edge connectivity and premium interior finishing are decisive factors that attract demanding consumers, particularly those residing in large urban centers. BYD seeks to offer not only an efficient vehicle, but also a complete and modern driving experience, in line with customer expectations.

In the first half of 2025, the Song Pro demonstrated its strength by recording the sale of 11,118 units, surpassing the Corolla Cross by more than 6 thousand units. Taxation for imported hybrids, which will increase from 25% to 30% from July 2025, represents a challenge, but the R$4,810 reduction in price mitigates part of the impact.

BYD Local Production and Expansion Plans

The Camaçari factory in Bahia, acquired from Ford, is currently in the testing phase for the production of the Song Pro, which represents a significant milestone for BYD in the Brasil. The units assembled in this initial stage are intended for testing and development, signaling the company’s commitment to the nationalization of its vehicles. The consolidation of local production, scheduled for 2026, has the potential to reduce manufacturing costs and increase the competitiveness of the model compared to competitors that already have a production base in the country.

BYD plans to expand its electrified vehicle lineup in the Brasil, with the possible introduction of a flexible hybrid engine, a strategic initiative that would take advantage of existing ethanol infrastructure. The brand is also investing in expanding its network of charging stations, with 25 points already installed in São Paulo and a forecast of 500 new units by the end of 2025.

    Commercial strategies and fierce competition

The Song Pro 2026 price reduction reflects BYD’s strategy of taking advantage of tax incentives, such as the IPI exemption for flexible fuel vehicles, although imported hybrids are still subject to specific taxes. The brand offers a bonus of R$20,000 when exchanging old models and financing at a rate of 0.99% per month, with a 60% down payment, seeking to attract a wider audience.

The extended warranty of six years for the vehicle and eight years for the battery reinforces confidence in the durability and quality of the model, an important differentiator for the consumer. The Adas level 2 package in the GS version is a direct response to the growing demand for advanced vehicle safety technologies.

Competition with the Toyota Corolla Cross, which offers a flex engine and a consumption of 17 km/l on highways, and the Jeep Compass 4xe, with all-wheel drive, is fierce in the national market. However, the Song Pro stands out for its electric autonomy and integrated technology, such as the ICS 3.0 multimedia center, which supports applications such as YouTube and Zoom.

BYD also invests in marketing campaigns focused on sustainability, recording 500,000 interactions on social media in 2025. Esses efforts contribute to solidifying the brand’s image and attracting new consumers interested in more sustainable and technological mobility solutions.
