Nvidia released this Tuesday, January 14, 2026, the final version of DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution through the NVIDIA App update. The technology, initially presented at CES 2026, is now accessible to all GeForce RTX card users without the need for beta.

The new second-generation transformer-based artificial intelligence model improves visual fidelity and reduces artifacts such as ghosting in fast movements. The update arrives automatically for those who already have the application installed or can be downloaded manually from the company’s official website.

More than 400 games and applications receive immediate support for the feature, which works on all RTX series, from generations 20 to 50. The latest cards see the biggest gains thanks to the improved Tensor Cores.

The implementation allows you to activate DLSS 4.5 even on older titles through in-app overrides.

New second generation transformer model

DLSS 4.5 introduces a second-generation transformer that uses up to five times more computing power compared to the previous model. Essa advanced architecture sharpens images and improves temporal stability in complex scenes.

Tests carried out by Nvidia demonstrate a significant reduction in trails in moving elements and greater accuracy in the reconstruction of fine details. The new model’s M and L presets offer balanced options between quality and performance.

Benefits for different RTX series

RTX 40 and 50 series cards make the most of the new model thanks to optimized next-gen FP4 and Tensor Cores support. Nessas GPUs, DLSS 4.5 delivers significant gains in 4K resolution with ray tracing enabled.

RTX 30 and 20 users also access the technology, although with a greater impact on performance in demanding configurations. In Nesses cases, the company recommends manual adjustments to balance frame rate and visual quality.

Universal compatibility keeps the feature viable even on older hardware when FPS headroom is available. The override built into the app makes it easier to activate in games without recent native support.

Main new features in NVIDIA App v11.0.6

The app update includes several usability improvements in addition to DLSS 4.5. Todas the remaining NVIDIA Surround settings were migrated from the old Painel to Controle.

  • Notebooks with Advanced Optimus now display full names of applications that block the feature.
  • New Modo of Depuração disables overclocking and voltage adjustments instantly to diagnose instabilities.
  • Advanced developer options facilitate profiling tools without changing default settings for regular users.

These changes concentrate controls in one place and simplify the management of graphics settings.

Games with out-of-the-box DLSS 4.5 support

Two titles were highlighted in the release with direct integration into the new model. LET IT DIE: INFERNO, an action rogue-lite from SUPERTRICK GAMES and GungHo Online Entertainment, gets an update that improves performance on RTX GPUs.

StarRupture, an early access game from Creepy Jar focused on exploration and base building, already includes native DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation. Pelo app, players activate the second generation transformer and DLAA for maximum quality.

Other ambitious games scheduled for 2026, such as Resident Evil Requiem and PRAGMATA, will receive full support for advanced RTX technologies. The compatibility list continues to grow weekly.

Artifact reduction and visual stability

The second-generation transformer solves recurring problems in AI image reconstruction. Artefatos and ghosting on fast objects decrease significantly in the new presets.

The technology also improves lighting treatment in high-contrast scenes without losing detail in shadows or highlights. Isso results in cleaner, more natural images compared to previous versions of DLSS.

In games with intense dynamic elements, temporal stability increases and maintains coherence between successive frames. The gains appear especially in titles with full ray tracing enabled.

Advanced in-app features

NVIDIA App consolidates features that were previously scattered across different tools. Usuários control overclocking, monitoring and optimizations directly from the unified interface.

Complete migration of Painel settings from old Controle eliminates the need to switch between programs. Automatic Atualizações guarantee immediate access to new drivers and technologies such as DLSS 4.5.

Perspectives for Multi Frame Generation

Nvidia has confirmed that the 6x Dynamic Multi Frame Generation mode will arrive in Spring 2026 exclusively for RTX 50. Essa functionality dynamically adjusts frame multiplication to achieve rates above 240 FPS in 4K.

Combined with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, the feature promises extreme performance in games with path tracing. The company plans to expand support for more titles throughout the year.

The update reinforces the strategy of focusing innovations on NVIDIA App as the central platform for RTX users. The global release marks another step in the ongoing evolution of AI rendering technologies.

DLSS 4.5 sets a new standard for visual quality accessible to millions of players on a variety of hardware. The combination of an advanced transformer model and tools integrated into the app facilitates widespread adoption of the technology.
