Microsoft confirmed the second wave of games that will be added to the Xbox Game Pass catalog throughout January 2026, reinforcing the service with high-profile titles and awaited releases. The list includes the likes of the enhanced version of Death Stranding and the intense Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, offering new experiences for cloud, console and PC subscribers.
The announcement details a release schedule that stretches from late January to early February, ensuring a continuous flow of content. The company’s strategy remains focused on adding value to the service, mixing games from independent studios, major third-party productions and titles that arrive on the platform on the day of their official launch.
In addition to new games, the update also includes additional content for games already established on the service, such as Sea of Thieves and Grounded. At the same time, Microsoft announced the list of titles that will leave the catalog at the end of the month, offering players the opportunity to purchase them at a discount before their removal.

January’s main highlights
Two of the most anticipated names coming to the service are Death Stranding Director’s Cut and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II. The first, which will be available from January 21st, is the definitive version of the acclaimed work by Hideo Kojima. Esta edition includes graphical improvements, new story missions, additional equipment and improved combat mechanics, deepening Sam Bridges’s journey in a fractured world. Inclusion in Game Pass allows a new audience to experience its unique proposal to reconnect a post-apocalyptic society. Já the second, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, arrives on January 29th, promising visceral action in the franchise’s dark universe. Players will take on the role of Tenente Titus to face endless hordes of Tyranids. The title offers a campaign that can be played solo or in cooperative mode for up to three players, as well as PvE and PvP modes that explore different classes of Space Marines, ensuring high replayability and intense strategic combat.
Day one launch and survival horror
From January 20th, two important titles will now be accessible. Resident Evil Village, one of the biggest hits in the survival horror genre, arrives on cloud, console and PC. The continuation of the Ethan Winters saga takes players to a mysterious and hostile village, full of terrifying creatures and dark secrets, in an experience that masterfully combines action and horror.
On the same day, MIO: Memories in Orbit debuts on the service as a day one release. Este metroidvania puts players in control of an android that explores the Vessel, a gigantic abandoned spaceship dominated by vegetation and rebellious machines. The game stands out for its immersive atmosphere, stylized visuals and gameplay that requires precision in platform and combat controls, offering a rewarding challenge for fans of the genre.
Adventure, puzzles and complex narratives
The end of the month holds even more variety for subscribers. On January 27th, The Talos Principle 2 arrives on PC and Xbox Series X|S. The sequel to the acclaimed puzzle game expands on the philosophical themes of the original, presenting even more complex challenges in a world where humanity has become extinct and robots have inherited its culture.
On the 28th, Anno: Mutationem joins the catalog, offering a mix of 2D and 3D action in a cyberpunk universe. The game combines fast-paced combat, exploration of neon cities and RPG elements. On the same date, Drop Duchy also becomes available, a kingdom-building title with roguelite mechanics and puzzles based on falling blocks.
For lovers of dense narratives, Indika will be added on February 2nd. The game is an adventure set in an alternative 19th century Rússia, following the journey of a young nun who talks to the devil. The experience promises a surreal story with acid humor and reflections on faith and identity.
Simulation and action for all tastes
Starting January 21st, PC players will be able to access RoadCraft, an infrastructure construction and repair simulator. The game challenges users to operate heavy vehicles to rebuild roads and bridges after natural disasters, with solo and cooperative modes.
Also on the 21st, Ninja Gaiden Ragebound debuts with a side-scrolling action proposal that brings back the classic difficulty and intensity of the series, with fast-paced combat and challenging progression.
On January 29th, MySims: Pacote Aconchegante arrives on PC Game Pass. The collection includes retro versions of two titles in the franchise, focused on construction, customization and interaction with charismatic characters in a relaxing environment.
Classic by Square Enix arrives on service
Closing the list of new features, Final Fantasy II joins the catalog on February 3rd. The Esta version, part of the 2D remaster series, features the classic RPG with updated graphics and quality of life improvements, allowing new and old fans to relive the story of the orphans who rise up against the empire of Palamecia.
Important updates for popular games
The service will also bring new features to existing titles. On January 27, Grounded receives the “Comunitário Garden” update, which adds a new biome, new creatures, and advanced equipment for players to explore.
Meanwhile, Sea of Thieves kicks off Ato 2 of On the same day, the popular Stranger Things DLC returns to Dead by Daylight, bringing back characters like Vecna, Dustin and Eleven to the survival game.
Titles that leave the catalog at the end of the month
As usual, some games will be removed from the service to make room for new features. From January 31st, titles such as Shady Part of Me, Starbound, Patrulha Canina World and Citizen Sleeper 2
