Samsung begins distribution of January 2026 security patch for Galaxy S23, S22 and foldables

Samsung began distributing the January 2026 security patch for several smartphone lines on Coreia from Sul. Samsung has started shipping the January 2026 patch for the Galaxy S23 series, including the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra models. Build S91*NKSS6EZA1 is around 390 MB and focuses exclusively on security fixes.

The same update reached the Galaxy S22 series, with build S90*NKSU7GYI7 and approximately 400 MB in size. Ela addresses 55 vulnerabilities in total, with 21 from Android and the rest specific to Samsung.

Foldables receive protection

The Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 models are also part of the current rollout. Builds F731NKSS5FZA1 and F946NKSSFZA1 correct the same flaws identified in the conventional series.

The changelog does not mention new visual or functional features. The priority remains on system stability and protection against known exploits.

These updates follow the Samsung monthly pattern for premium devices. The expansive distribution process should cover Europa and América in the next steps.

One UI and preparation for future versions

Several models eligible for One UI 8.5 await the stable version after the release of the Galaxy S26 lineup. The fourth beta should arrive soon for additional testing.
