The Dacia redefines the standards for compact SUVs in the European market with the official presentation of the new Duster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 version. The model stands out for being the only one in its segment to combine an all-wheel drive system with an electric motor, a 48-volt mild-hybrid engine and dual-fuel power, using both gasoline and Gás Liquefeito of Petróleo (LPG).

This innovative configuration allows electric operation in a variety of driving conditions and provides an impressive total range that can reach 1,500 kilometers with both tanks full. The vehicle uses a 1.2 turbo three-cylinder engine that generates 140 horsepower, working in conjunction with a 31 horsepower rear electric motor.

The engineering solution was developed in-house by Dacia with the aim of maintaining the attractiveness of four-wheel drive SUVs without compromising CO2 emissions targets. The new Duster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 can now be ordered in several Europa markets, with prices starting from approximately 28 thousand euros, positioning itself as an extremely competitive option in the current scenario.

An innovative and multifaceted propulsion system

The heart of the Dacia Duster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 is a complex and highly coordinated propulsion system designed to maximize both energy efficiency and off-road capabilities. The main engine is a 1.2 three-cylinder turbo with 140 horsepower, integrated with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology, which allows dual-fuel power supply with gasoline or LPG without the need for mechanical modifications. The 31 horsepower electric motor, positioned on the rear axle, not only provides additional power, but also acts as a generator during regenerative braking, recovering energy that would otherwise be lost. Esta electric drive is equipped with its own two-speed transmission, which optimizes performance at low speeds and allows complete decoupling to reduce friction when 4×4 traction is not required. The main transmission is a six-speed dual-clutch automatic, designed to ensure smooth gear changes and contribute to reduced fuel consumption.

Intelligent operation of hybrid 4×4 traction

The all-wheel drive system of the Duster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 is activated electronically and instantly, thanks to the dedicated electric motor on the rear axle.

Under normal road driving conditions and at higher speeds, the vehicle operates in front-wheel drive to minimize fuel consumption. Contudo, the system continuously monitors grip conditions and, at the first sign of slipping, engages the rear axle within a few milliseconds.

This transition is imperceptible to the driver and guarantees maximum safety on slippery surfaces or uneven terrain, dynamically adapting to the needs of the route.

Record autonomy and consumption figures

The Dacia Duster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 records an average approved consumption that varies between 5.5 and 5.6 liters per 100 km when operating on gasoline.

When using LPG, consumption increases slightly to a range between 7.1 and 7.2 liters per 100 km, due to the lower energy density of this fuel.

The combination of two tanks of 50 liters each – one for gasoline and the other for LPG – guarantees an impressive combined range that can reach up to 1,500 kilometers in the WLTP cycle.

CO2 emissions range between 116 and 126 g/km, complying with the strict Euro 6e-bis standards, which positions the model as an environmentally conscious alternative in its category of all-wheel drive vehicles.

Exclusive competitive advantages in the market

No other manufacturer in the compact SUV segment currently offers the combination of a mild-hybrid engine, dual-fuel LPG power and 4×4 traction with a rear electric motor. Essa exclusivity uniquely positions the

Furthermore, the battery’s self-recharging system eliminates range anxiety typical of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, offering total practicality in everyday life. With this configuration, Dacia consolidates its image as a brand that delivers intelligent, robust and excellent cost-benefit solutions, meeting a growing demand for versatile and efficient vehicles that do not depend on external charging infrastructure.

Enhanced off-road capabilities

The presence of the electric motor on the rear axle offers a significant advantage in challenging terrain, providing instant torque to improve traction on low-grip surfaces such as mud or sand. Essa immediate response allows for more precise control in difficult situations, while maintaining the off-road characteristics that have made the Duster line famous and reliable among adventurers.

Driving modes and technological interior

The model offers specific driving modes that adjust the behavior of the propulsion and traction system, such as the Auto mode, which automatically balances efficiency and performance; Eco, which prioritizes fuel economy; Snow, which optimizes traction on slippery surfaces; and Mud/Sand, which regulates traction control for rough terrain.

The interior of the Duster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 has received significant updates, with robust finishes and materials designed to withstand intense use. The center console is dominated by an infotainment screen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The digital instrument cluster displays hybrid system-specific information such as real-time power flow and active traction mode.

Prices and positioning in the European market

Prices for the Dacia Duster Hybrid-G 150 4×4 start from 28,500 euros for the entry-level Expression version in selected European markets. The most equipped configurations, such as the Extreme and Journey, increase the value to around 30 thousand euros, offering items such as a 360-degree camera and lane keeping assistant.

The Dacia positions the model as an affordable option for consumers who are looking for an all-wheel drive vehicle, but do not want to compromise on energy efficiency and low operating costs, filling an important gap in the current market with an unparalleled value proposition.
