This Monday, February 10, 2026, Byd presented the updated version of the Atto 3 electric SUV, called Evo. The model brings profound changes to the electric platform, with significant gains in power, autonomy and charging speed. The new feature adopts the E-Platform 3.0 architecture, which allows for larger batteries and more efficient motors.

The Atto 3 Evo now offers two traction configurations. The Comfort version maintains a single rear engine, while the Excellence gets an all-wheel drive system with two motors. Essas changes represent a significant evolution compared to the previous model, which had front-wheel drive and more moderate performance.

The Chinese brand reinforces its position in the family electric SUV segment with these improvements. The vehicle maintains compact dimensions, but gains internal space and greater towing capacity. The launch takes place at a time of global expansion of Byd in the electric market.

Main technical specifications

The Atto 3 Evo receives a 74.8 kWh battery with cell-to-body technology, which integrates the cells directly into the vehicle’s structure. Essa solution increases torsional rigidity and reduces the total weight of the assembly.

In the Comfort version, the single engine delivers 308 hp of power and 38.7 kgfm of torque. The model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and reaches an estimated range of 510 km in the WLTP cycle. Rear-wheel drive improves handling compared to its predecessor.

The Excellence configuration has two engines that add up to 442 hp and 56.9 kgfm of torque. Acceleration drops to 3.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, with a range of around 470 km. The five-link multilink rear suspension has been recalibrated to handle the extra power.

Advances in charging and efficiency

The 800-volt electrical architecture allows fast charging of up to 220 kW at direct current. The time to recover from 10% to 80% of the battery is around 25 minutes. Essa speed represents double the capacity of the previous model.

The Byd also optimized energy consumption with new thermal management algorithms. The system maintains the ideal battery temperature in different weather conditions. Esses gains directly contribute to increasing real autonomy.

  • Maximum DC charging: 220 kW
  • 10-80% time: approximately 25 minutes
  • Architecture: 800 volts
  • Compatibility: ultrafast stations common on Europa and Ásia

Updates to the exterior design

The visual changes are subtle, but they give the Atto 3 Evo a more sophisticated appearance. The front bumper gained cleaner lines and redesigned air intakes. The rear lights adopt a new internal lighting pattern.

The wheels have exclusive aerodynamic designs, available in 18 or 19 inch sizes. The bodywork maintains the same external dimensions, preserving agility in urban traffic. Color options include updated metallic tones.

The aerodynamic coefficient has been slightly improved with details such as optimized mirrors. Essas changes contribute to energy efficiency without altering the consolidated visual identity of the model.

Renewed interior and connectivity

The cabin received a 15.6-inch rotating central screen with a more fluid interface. The multimedia system now integrates native Google applications, including Maps and voice assistant. The digital instrument panel has grown to 8.8 inches.

The center console gained extra space with the relocation of the gear selector to the steering column. The front seats are heated as standard, and the top version offers a fixed panoramic roof. Sound insulation has been improved for greater comfort on long journeys.

The trunk increased to 490 liters, with an additional 101 liters in the front compartment for cables. With the seats folded down, the volume reaches 1,390 liters. Towing capacity has risen to 1,500 kg, useful for light trailers.

Standard and safety equipment

All versions include a 360-degree camera, parking sensors and full-LED headlights. Heated front seats and wireless smartphone charging are also standard. The Excellence version adds a head-up display and heating for the rear seats.

The driver assistance package comprises automatic emergency braking, lane keeping and adaptive cruise control. The reinforced structure with integrated battery increases safety levels in collisions. The model has not yet undergone Euro NCAP testing in the new configuration.

Position in the electrical market

The Byd consolidates its presence in the electric compact SUV segment with the Atto 3 Evo. The model competes directly with rivals such as the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 in several markets. The technical gains place the vehicle at a higher level of performance.

The Chinese brand maintains a competitive pricing strategy, although official values for the Evo have not yet been released. The expansion of the dealership network and charging points follows the growth in global sales. The original Atto 3 is already among the best-selling trams in several European countries.

The transition to rear- or all-wheel drive enhances the sporty driving experience. Consumidores who seek performance combined with family practicality will find the Evo a balanced option. Byd projects an increase in participation in the electricity market with this update.

Perspectives of arrival in new markets

The Atto 3 Evo should gradually reach different regions throughout 2026. The Byd prioritizes consolidated European markets, with possible expansion to América Latina later. The technical assistance network grows in parallel with sales.

The brand’s production capacity allows it to meet growing demand without long waiting lines. Parcerias locations facilitate import and approval in countries with tax incentives for electric vehicles. The model reinforces Byd’s global strategy of democratizing electric mobility.
