Owners of the Japanese manufacturer’s compact SUV have expressed growing dissatisfaction with the operation of the vehicle’s electronic components. The main focus of the complaints is on the instability of the multimedia center and persistent alerts on the instrument panel, situations that compromise the daily use experience and generate frequent trips to dealerships.
Reports indicate that, even in units with little running time, the entertainment system presents difficulties in pairing and crashes. Além In addition, there are significant records of the electronic injection light coming on intermittently, a problem that persists even after technical interventions on the authorized network.

- Failures in recognizing mobile devices and pendrives.
- Sudden interruptions in the operation of the radio and applications.
- Injection alerts that return after “resolution” in the workshop.
- Inconclusive or palliative diagnoses by technical assistance.
Technical specifications and market positioning
The model, which has been with the new generation since February 2025, maintains the mechanical set known to Brazilian consumers. Sob the hood, the SUV is equipped with a 1.6 aspirated flex engine, capable of delivering up to 113 horsepower, coupled to a CVT automatic transmission that simulates six gears. Essa configuration is aimed at urban efficiency, taking advantage of the vehicle’s reduced weight, which is around 1,100 kg.
In dimensional terms, the sports utility vehicle measures 4.30 meters in length and offers a trunk of 432 liters, a volume considered higher than the average for the compact SUV segment. The interior space is designed to accommodate four adults in comfort, although the fuel tank of just 41 liters is seen as a limiting factor for autonomy on long-distance trips. The current version received the “Play” nomenclature to differentiate itself from the new, more sophisticated generation, remaining as the brand’s entry-level option, manufactured in the Resende industrial complex, in the Rio of Janeiro.
Instability in onboard connectivity
The multimedia center, an essential item for modern convenience, has become the center of criticism for many drivers. Usuários report that the equipment stops recognizing connections via USB or Bluetooth at random, in addition to showing “freezes” on the screen that prevent the use of browsers and audio streaming services.
An emblematic case occurred in Salvador, where a customer needed to activate the warranty a few days after removing the brand new vehicle from the dealership, in September 2025. The solution, however, was not immediate, with the replacement part taking weeks to arrive, which led to inconvenience in the use of the asset.
Outros drivers describe the need to completely replace the hardware after successive software updates that did not correct the flaws. Unstable connectivity frustrates the expectations of those who purchase more equipped versions, where integration with smartphones is one of the main selling points.
Mechanical alerts and failure recurrence
Além On the entertainment side, the reliability of engine sensors has been questioned. The electronic injection light, which indicates anomalies in the power supply or emissions system, lights up on the dashboard of many vehicles without an apparent reason for serious mechanical failure, but requires professional verification.
Em Lorena, in the interior of São Paulo, an owner reported having visited the authorized workshop three times in a single month. The diagnosis via scanner showed problems with the canister — the component responsible for filtering fuel vapors —, but the cleaning carried out by the technicians only temporarily resolved the issue. The warning light appeared again weeks later, raising doubts about the durability of the components or the accuracy of the diagnoses carried out.
Other owner observations and brand response
Embora electronics account for most of the complaints, there are notes about other aspects of the vehicle. Fuel consumption on urban journeys is cited by some owners as higher than expected for a car of its category and weight. Detalhes of finishing, such as the fit of plastic parts, also appears in the observation lists, along with occasional noises in the suspension.
Nissan, in turn, maintains the position of monitoring cases individually through its dealership network. The manufacturer reinforces the need for strict compliance with the periodic inspection plan to maintain the factory warranty. The company highlights that the model, with around 400 thousand units produced since 2016, has an established history in the national market.
- High urban consumption in certain traffic conditions.
- Finishing fittings with visible gaps.
- Waiting time for replacement parts to arrive.
- Warranty protocols that require multiple workshop visits.
Current pricing and version scenario
The SUV portfolio continues to be available on the automaker’s official website, divided into three main configurations that seek to meet different budget profiles. The entry-level version, called Active Plus, has a suggested price of R$117,990, focusing on cost-benefit. Já the intermediate option Sense is sold for R$ 131,590, adding comfort items. At the top of the range, the Advance Plus variant costs R$150,190, offering the most complete equipment package. The model is preparing to gradually exit the line with the arrival of the successor Kait, which will occupy the entry-level range of the brand’s utility vehicles with similar dimensions and a renewed design.
