ELECOM announced on March 3 the launch of a new line of keyboards with a standard design and an emphasis on silent operation. Products include full-size and mini models, available in both wireless versions with 2.4 GHz connectivity and wired versions via USB. The company started sales immediately after the announcement, with suggested prices that vary according to the type of connection and size of the keyboard. Essa line seeks to serve users who need comfortable typing in environments where noise must be minimal, such as shared offices or residential spaces.

The keyboards utilize enhanced membrane technology to balance silence and tactile sensation while typing. The full-size model follows the standard Japanese 108-key layout, including a dedicated multifunction key on the top row for quick access to functions. Já the mini model adopts a Japanese 81-key layout, with shared function keys to maintain compactness without losing practicality.

Design focused on noise reduction

ELECOM developed these keyboards with structures that minimize the sound of keys when pressed. The membrane has been tuned to provide smooth, consistent feedback, avoiding the metallic noise common in some traditional models. Usuários who work for long periods report greater comfort compared to conventional keyboards.

The focus on silence does not compromise durability or accuracy. Cada key maintains quick response and prevents frequent typing errors.

Compatibility with multiple operating systems

The new models are compatible with Windows, macOS and Chrome OS. The keyboard automatically detects the connected operating system and adjusts input modes, ensuring that shortcuts and special functions work correctly on each platform. Essa feature makes it easy to use on different devices without needing additional manual configurations.

2.4 GHz wireless connectivity offers stable range and low latency, ideal for cable-free setups. Wired models ensure direct and reliable connection via USB.

Available variants and price specifications

The line includes four main options. The full-size wireless keyboard (TK-QT11FDMWH) has a suggested retail price of ¥4,280, while the mini wireless comes at ¥4,180. The wired versions are more affordable, with the full-size at ¥3,680 and the mini at ¥3,579, all prices including taxes.

These prices position the products as competitive options in the standard silent keyboard segment. Available colors include white and black, meeting varied user preferences.

Additional features on full-size models

The full-size model stands out for the inclusion of an independent multifunctional key, which allows direct access to controls such as volume, brightness and other system functions. Essa key adds practicality in everyday life, especially for those who switch between tasks.

The standard JIS layout makes typing Japanese easy, with well-spaced keys and ergonomic placement. The overall design prioritizes prolonged use without excessive hand fatigue.

Recommended applications for new keyboards

These keyboards serve professionals who perform intense typing in home offices or corporate environments. Noise reduction benefits video calls and online meetings where background sounds can interfere with communication.

Students and casual users also find advantage in the broad compatibility and affordable price. The absence of the need for extra drivers simplifies installation on any compatible computer.

ELECOM continues to invest in peripherals that combine functionality with hearing comfort, expanding its offer in the Japanese computer accessories market.
