The hotel complex located in Orlando has officially completed the modernization project of one of its main economic properties after twelve months of structural interventions. The initiative restructured common areas, housing units and food services, with the aim of adapting the facilities to current operational demands. The establishment receives a high volume of tourists annually due to its accommodation capacity and strategic location within the property. The delivery of the works occurred within the schedule stipulated by the administration, preceding the period of high demand of the spring season in the northern hemisphere and guaranteeing the full operation of its buildings.

The engineering and architecture teams focused their efforts on replacing old coatings and implementing new customer service technologies. The architectural design preserved the site’s original theme, which is based on the aesthetics of the 20th century, but updated the construction materials to contemporary standards of durability and energy efficiency.

The main work fronts of the revitalization project included the following areas of direct intervention:

– Reconfiguração complete plan of the main lobby and waiting areas.

– Atualização of the furniture, lighting and color palette in the housing units.

– Expansão of power supply areas and integration of self-service terminals.

Restructuring of the main lobby and common areas

The hotel reception space underwent a significant change in its floor plan and furniture arrangement. The administration removed the traditional fixed service counters to expand the free movement area for visitors arriving at the complex with bulky luggage.

The walls of the space received new large-scale illustrations that portray the company’s classic characters, replacing the old glass showcases that housed historical objects. The visual change aims to create a faster and more direct visual identification with the contemporary public that frequents the location.

The project manager of the team of Gestão of Ativos of Instalações, The artificial lighting was completely resized with LED lamps to eliminate shadow areas on the ground floor.

The lobby furniture was expanded with the addition of communal tables and armchairs equipped with charging points for electronic devices and smartphones. Essa infrastructure measure meets a demand registered by users for more seats during the establishment’s entry and exit registration processes.

Implementation of digital kiosks in customer service

The property’s technological modernization included the installation of self-service terminals in the main lobby. The operating system allows guests to check in autonomously, reducing time waiting in lines during peak flight arrival times.

Hotel employees now roam the lobby armed with corporate tablets to assist visitors in a direct and mobile manner. Este decentralized operation model follows the efficiency standard already established in other properties of the same hotel chain over the last few years of updates.

Updating housing units and furniture

The property’s rooms have received a new color palette, incorporating shades of blue, gray, green and orange on the walls and bed fabrics. Replacing the old carpet with synthetic floors finished in wood tones aims to facilitate daily cleaning protocols and improve indoor air quality for occupants. The interior design included the installation of new recessed lighting, curtains with a more efficient light-blocking system and the insertion of geometric details in the covering of the bathroom area, eliminating the clinical aspect highlighted in previous evaluations by service users.

The internal infrastructure of the accommodations was also updated to support the increasing use of electronic equipment by tourists during their stays. Foram USB ports and additional sockets installed near the headboards of the beds and on the side tables. The wooden furniture was redesigned to optimize the room’s usable space, allowing for better luggage accommodation under the beds. Elementos subtle visuals, such as silhouettes integrated into the furniture design, were maintained to preserve the brand’s corporate identity without compromising the functionality of the resting environment.

Expansion of the food and retail complex

The commercial sector known as Everything POP Shopping & Dining underwent a spatial reconfiguration to improve the continuous flow of customers between the product store and the food court. The heavy-traffic flooring and chair upholstery were completely replaced with high-resistance materials.

Total seating capacity has been increased with the introduction of different formats of shared tables and private booths. The new architectural layout creates distinct zones for quick meals and areas for extended stays, resembling a corporate living environment.

The gastronomic infrastructure gained the addition of a specialized cafeteria operating within the main perimeter of the resort. The new service counter offers made-to-order drinks and fast food, operating extended hours to serve guests before and after their daily commute.

Modifications to the outdoor area and pool bar

In the external leisure area, the bar located next to the main pool had its physical structure renovated and modernized. The service counter received new moisture-resistant ceramic coatings and the ordering system was digitized using high-definition electronic panels, speeding up purchase processing and service to visitors to the aquatic space during the months with higher temperatures.

Transport system maintenance schedule

The complex’s management released the schedule of preventive operations for the air mobility infrastructure that serves the property and surrounding areas. The cable car system, which connects the hotel to other commercial areas of the destination, will undergo a scheduled technical shutdown between January 24th and 31st next year. During this period of inactivity of airline cabins, guest transportation logistics will be carried out exclusively by a fleet of articulated buses, available at no additional cost to users. The measure will directly affect passengers traveling to adjacent theme parks and convention centers. The engineering department emphasizes that annual maintenance is standardized mechanical safety procedures, similar to those performed regularly to ensure the integrity of cables and motors in mass transportation equipment.

Expansion of baggage check service

Baggage transportation logistics was optimized with the consolidation of the verification and direct dispatch system. The service allows passengers of partner airlines to send their luggage directly from the hotel counters to the Aeroporto Internacional terminal of Orlando, without having to load them into the transfer vehicles.

The operational program, which began as a small-scale test, now encompasses both departure flights and arrival procedures. The operation significantly reduces the need for tourists to handle heavy suitcases during land travel, optimizing travel time between the airport and the resort room.

Next phases of renovation in the hotel chain

With the completion of the modernization works, the company’s engineering department directs the focus of its resources to other properties in the same economic category. Strategic infrastructure planning foresees the beginning of similar physical interventions in neighboring hotel complexes.

The new cycle of structural works is scheduled to begin at the end of May, with a technical execution schedule that will extend over the next two years of operation. The project will cover the electrical, hydraulic and visual modernization of at least two large units belonging to the group.
