The measure represents a strategic investment to meet the growth of the local two-wheeler market. The company recorded record sales in 2024 with 162 thousand units sold in the country. The new unit occupies an area of 100 thousand square meters and should generate around 300 direct jobs in the initial phase.

PCX 125 opens for operation as entry model

The PCX 125 is an urban scooter known for its practicality and efficiency. The choice of this model to start activities meets the predominant consumption profile at Turquia.

The 2026 version of the vehicle maintains consolidated features of the line, such as compact design and focus on daily mobility. Local production should reduce import costs and speed up delivery to dealerships in the country.

Honda has been selling the PCX 125 at Turquia for years. With in-house manufacturing, the company hopes to improve its offering and keep pace with the expansion of the scooter segment.

Growth Contexto Drives Decision

Motorcycle sales at Turquia have grown consistently in recent periods. The record of 162 thousand units sold by Honda in 2024 reflects this movement.

The pandemic has accelerated the search for more individual travel alternatives. Esse scenario led the company to evaluate investments in its own production to sustain growth.

The new factory contributes to the greater objective of strengthening the regional supply chain. Honda aims to offer affordable quality vehicles and support the development of motorcycle culture in the country.

Próximos steps include gradual expansion

The current operation focuses efforts on the PCX 125. Futuramente, other references can integrate the portfolio manufactured in Izmir.

The company monitors line performance to define capacity adjustments. The plan to reach 200 thousand units depends on factors such as market evolution and logistics infrastructure.

The initiative also strengthens Honda’s global strategy of bringing production closer to the main consumer markets.
