Quarenta years after its creation as the most powerful genetic Pokémon, Mewtwo reaches a new phase in Pokémon GO. Trainers will be able to activate brand new Mega Evoluções during the biggest event of the year.
Niantic confirmed that Mega Mewtwo Treinadores with Mewtwo already captured will be able to use them in new ways. Both variants require more Mega Energia than most Pokémon and bring important changes to the progression system.
Mewtwo can now Mega Evoluir in two forms
Mewtwo can transform into Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y. The forms are powerful and require a high amount of specific energy. The energy first appears in Super Mega Raids with Mega Mewtwo themselves.
- Derrotar Mega Mewtwo X on Super Mega Raid releases Mega Energia X.
- Derrotar Mega Mewtwo Y releases Mega Energia Y.
- Mewtwo captured in these raids already comes with at least one Mega level unlocked.
- With luck, the level can reach 2 or 3.
Participantes from in-person events on Tóquio, Chicago and Copenhague have early access. Eles complete timed surveys in the urban experience and choose one of two Mega Mewtwo with unlocked starting level. At the end of the session in the park, a collective Super Mega Raid brings together more than a thousand trainers against the boss.

Global Evento is free for the first time

Desafios in the city and exclusive medals
Quem participates in urban gameplay receives four opportunities from Desafio Contra o Tempo on the first day. Cada challenge focuses on one of four areas of the city and awards a unique medal. Completar at least two entitles you to the Especialista medal in GO and the choice of meeting Mega Mewtwo X or Y with an unlocked level.
Jogadores who visit multiple cities can accumulate up to three sets of rewards. Quem staying in the same city only receives one set per event. Challenges are active throughout the festival period in each location.
