The OnePlus Nord 6 demonstrated robust performance in a continuous three-hour session with four demanding titles. Começando with 96% charge, the device finished the test with 61% still available, a total drop of just 35 percentage points under maximum pressure. The result reverses initial perceptions about batteries with increasing capacity: what really matters is how the software optimizes consumption during actual use.
Test Metodologia and applied settings
The tests were carried out with technical rigor to ensure consistency. Aqui are the main parameters:
- Bateria started at 96%
- Brilho fixed at 70%, no automatic adjustment
- Bluetooth and Serviços of Localização disabled
- Temperatura controlled environment at 28°C
- Aferições battery every 15 minutes
- Medições thermals with infrared thermometer every 45 minutes
- Software updated before each session
The four games chosen had different levels of graphical and processing demands. Genshin Impact ran at maximum settings with 60 fps. Hitman: Absolution ran in Desempenho mode at 60 fps. Tomb Raider was capped at 40 fps also in Desempenho. Call of Duty: Mobile ran at its competitive default settings.
Genshin Impact: positive initial impression
The first session with Genshin Impact was surprisingly efficient. Apesar is a title with a gigantic open world, without loading screens between areas, and requires continuous transmission of textures and lighting in real time, consumption was only 10% in 45 minutes. Gameplay remained stable with no noticeable stutters.
The heat, however, began to appear. The rear panel reached 39.9°C while the screen stabilized at 39.6°C. Nada alarming, but a warning that intense processing generates heat even with the battery under control.
Hitman Absolution: temperature spike and crashes
The second session revealed the device’s limits. Hitman: Absolution, with its cinematic sequences and stealth mechanics, caused noticeable crashes and stutters during gameplay. The rear panel reached 44.5°C — a high temperature for prolonged handling — and the screen reached 42.8°C.
Curiosamente, battery consumption increased by just 2% compared to Genshin Impact: 12% in 45 minutes. The accumulated drop left the device at 74% battery. The test was at its critical point, questioning whether the autonomy would last until the end without shutdown or forced reduction in performance.
Tomb Raider and Call of Duty: recovery and stability
In the third round, Tomb Raider brought balance. The gameplay was once again fluid and responsive, with no noticeable lag, and consumption decreased to just 8% in 45 minutes. Temperatures also dropped: 38.7°C on the rear panel and 36°C on the screen — a reduction of around 6°C compared to the previous peak.
Call of Duty: Mobile was the most economical game in the entire test, consuming just 5% of battery in 45 minutes of consecutive games. Temperatures continued to drop, stabilizing at 36.3°C (back) and 36.4°C (screen). At the end of the three hours, the battery remained at 61%.
What the data reveals about the 9,000 mAh battery
Total consumption of 35% in three hours of heavy gaming puts the OnePlus Nord 6 in an advantageous position compared to competitors. The temperature peaks above 40°C during Hitman suggest that the device prioritizes performance over thermal in certain situations, but this did not harm the overall autonomy. Software optimization allows the battery to not deplete quickly even under sustained maximum load.
Casual Testes with less demanding applications will produce significantly greater autonomy, as the consumption pattern during gaming is the most adverse scenario for any battery. With 61% remaining after the three hours of extreme testing, the device is capable of maintaining a full day of mixed use without needing to recharge.
