Takopi’s Pecado Original will have a theatrical adaptation of Japão. The work will bring together the anime chapters shown in 2025 into a feature film with extra scenes that were not part of the television broadcast. The film will be titled Takopii no Genzai -Arigatou, Mata Ashita-, something like Pecado Original de Takopi: Obrigado and Até Amanhã, but it does not yet have a confirmed release date.
The project follows a similar strategy to that adopted by previous productions. In 1999, Globo TV launched a miniseries of Compadecida’s Auto in 4 episodes. The reception was so positive that it received a film version the following year, condensing the television material into a feature film that was about an hour shorter. Takopi adopts a similar format, transforming anime content into a cinema experience.
Trailer revealed and nominated for prestigious award
The first trailer has already been made available to the public. The work won a nomination in the Crunchyroll Anime Awards anime of the year category, even though it lost the award to My Hero Academia. The anime’s reception among critics and audiences has been highly positive since its release.
Details about additional content included in the film remain under wraps. The extra scenes represent an opportunity to deepen the narrative already known to fans of the animated series. The studio responsible for production keeps information about duration, dubbing cast and director confidential until now.
