Guillaume Bucci, 51 years old, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Saturday (May 23) by the court of Assizes of Digne-les-Bains, located in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, in França. The sentence includes charges of torture, rape and forced prostitution against Laetitia R., 42 years old, mother of 4 children who suffered abuse between 2015 and 2022.

The case gained repercussion after the victim was inspired by the complaint of Gisèle Pelicot, a Frenchwoman whose husband drugged her so that she could be raped by third parties. Diferente in that case, Bucci kept his partner conscious during all the acts.

Sete years of control and humiliation

Laetitia R. reported being a victim of beatings, extreme sexual practices and daily humiliation. The banker treated her like a “slave”, imposing forced sexual relations with other men. The victim testified that “little by little” she felt like she was “dying inside” and that “with each practice imposed, a part” of her “was broken forever.”

The abuse began on the eve of Natal 2015 at a highway gas station, when Bucci forced her to have a relationship with another man while listening to their phone conversation. From then on, the banker progressively expanded his control, including acts of bestiality, burnings and strangulation.

Bucci used death threats to force compliance. Mensagens text presented in court confirms explicit intimidation if she did not comply with the orders imposed.

Prostituição forced with hundreds of men

Laetitia R. was forced to have sexual relations with approximately 500 men over the 7 years of the relationship. The victim stated that she “stopped counting when she reached 487 men, some of whom” she “had seen up to 10 times.”

The men involved were described by her as “friends, colleagues and strangers”. The banker monitored these situations systematically, exercising absolute control over each encounter.

A crucial aspect differentiated this case: unlike Gisèle Pelicot’s husband, Bucci did not use drugs to complete the acts. Ele intentionally kept the victim conscious. Conforme Laetitia reported to the TF1 network, the banker stated that she “needed to realize what was going on.”

Defesa and argument in court

Durante At trial, Bucci admitted to several disturbing acts, including strangulation, bestiality and burning. Porém claimed that it was “consensual sexual games” and that he did not believe he was hurting his partner.

The banker also testified that his then partner had consented to the practices. Esta’s argument contrasts sharply with the evidence of death threats and the documented pattern of coercive control.

Sentença and legal consequences

The 25-year sentence establishes a safe period equivalent to two-thirds of the sentence before Bucci is entitled to request progression to parole. The court decision also determines:

  • Inclusão from the name on the National Sex Offender Registry
  • Parental Power Perda
  • Restrições future request for parole

The sentence reflects the seriousness of the crimes, considering the prolonged duration of the abuse, the number of indirect victims (men involved in forced prostitution) and the systematic violence used over seven years.
