Agência Nacional of Vigilância Sanitária authorized the resumption of activities at the Ypê factory in Amparo, inside São Paulo. The decision allows the company to resume manufacturing detergents, washing liquids and disinfectants this Monday. The measure ends a partial suspension that had been in effect since the beginning of May.

The release occurred after a new inspection that verified the correction of sanitary irregularities. The company presented an action plan and met the main requirements.

Fábrica resumes operations after health fixes

Química Amparo, responsible for the production of Ypê products, received authorization to operate immediately. Anvisa’s decision came on Friday, May 29th. The agency’s Técnicos, along with state and local agencies, conducted a reinspection of the facility.

The president of Anvisa, Leandro Safatle, visited the site and stated that the unit is capable of returning to production safely. The company implemented adjustments to quality assurance and health control processes.

  • The factory met the main points of a plan with 76 requirements identified in April
  • Equipes of Vigilância Sanitária of São Paulo and Amparo participated in the joint inspection
  • The recovery covers the lines of detergents, liquid soaps and disinfectants
  • New Produtos follow updated health standards

The measure represents progress in the normalization of the company’s operations in the region.

Suspensão from old batches remains in effect

Nem all of the brand’s products return to the market immediately. Anvisa maintained the prohibition on the sale, distribution and use of items with final batch 1 manufactured until March 31, 2026. Esses products must be stored in a safe location.

The agency released only batches with ending 1 produced from April 1st. The company needs to present additional reports so that older batches can be released in the future.

The initial recall occurred after identifying the risk of microbiological contamination. Falhas on production systems prompted action in May.

Impacto in Supply Chain and Consumer

The partial shutdown has affected the supply of hygiene and cleaning products in several regions of the country in recent weeks. With the recovery, the expectation is for a gradual regularization of stocks on the shelves. Consumidores must check the manufacturing date before using items with final batch 1.

Ypê issued a note confirming receipt of the authorization. The company reinforced its commitment to product quality and safety.

Histórico from suspension and company shares

Anvisa ordered the suspension on May 7 after an inspection that revealed serious flaws. The measure affected dishwashers, liquid laundry detergents and disinfectants with a final number of 1. The company had already initiated voluntary recalls in some cases at the end of 2025.

Desde then Química Amparo worked on a corrective plan. This week’s reinspection confirmed sufficient progress to release production.

The decision does not affect other units of the company. Apenas Amparo’s factory was under restrictions.

Próximos steps and monitoring of Anvisa

The agency will continue to monitor production at the unit. Novas inspections may occur to ensure continued compliance with good manufacturing practices. The company must maintain updated reports on quality control.

Consumidores who have suspicious products can consult the Anvisa website for disposal or return instructions. The gradual release aims to balance health security with market supply.
