A new victim of jiu-jitsu teacher and fighter Melquisedeque of Lima Galvão Ferreira, known as Melqui Galvão, reported being raped five times. The abuse occurred over the course of a year, while she participated in his social sports project in Manaus. The young woman detailed the episodes in an exclusive statement to Bom Dia Brasil. Nova complaint details abuses in social project
The victim was 16 years old when the abuse first began. Ela described that the episodes often occurred in periods close to championships or sporting events that required high registration or travel costs. The young woman did not have the financial resources to cover these expenses. Ela had attempted to raise funds through a raffle. Melqui Galvão then offered him the money he needed to participate in the competition. The offer came with the condition that they “talk first.” The professor, however, took her to a hotel, a place that the young woman immediately questioned. Melqui Galvão faces series of investigations
