Big Walk, House House’s new multiplayer cooperative game, arrives on Nintendo Switch 2. The title will be released on August 4, 2026 for Nintendo’s new console, in addition to PS5 and PC.
The announcement was made during Nintendo Direct this Tuesday (9). Panic, the game’s distributor, confirmed the version for Switch 2, which was one of the community’s expectations since the initial announcement of the project.
Game prioritizes fun with friends in an open worldBig Walk is described as a cooperative adventure about teamwork and communication. Players explore a vast open world full of challenges, puzzles and discoveries, needing to collaborate to advance.
In addition to the puzzles, there is space for lighter moments: sitting to watch the sunset, playing with items in the scenery or even stealing binoculars from a friend and throwing them into the ocean. The proposal is to balance exploration and pure conviviality between friends.
The game uses proximity chat with voices that diminish with distance, as well as fun tools like megaphones and flares to communicate. Sessions are invite-only, reinforcing the experience with the right group.
Past success boosts expectationsHouse House gained global prominence with Untitled Goose Game, released in 2019. The new title maintains the playful and chaotic spirit of the Australian studio, but on a larger scale, with an open world and a focus on multiplayer.
The suggested retail price is US$19.99, with a 25% discount at launch. On PS5, the game will be available from day 1 in the PS Plus Essential catalog. Cross-play between platforms should make it easier to play with friends on different consoles.
What changes with the Switch 2 versionThe inclusion of Switch 2 expands the game’s audience, which was already confirmed for PS5 and PC. The portability of the new Nintendo should go well with the relaxed proposal of a “big walk” — a big group walk.
The studio delayed the previous release (scheduled for 2025) to polish the story and cooperative systems. The result is a hand-crafted game, with an emphasis on mechanics that encourage real interaction between players.
