The new president of C.D. Leganés, Eduardo Cosín, confirmed that Andrés Pardo will continue to lead the club’s football management next season. The definition ends one of the main doubts that hovered over pepinero after the definitive entry of 885 Capital as majority shareholder.
The statement was made in an interview with the newspaper Marca. Cosín, who assumed the presidency with the club’s new phase, highlighted the importance of maintaining stability in the sporting area. Andrés Pardo arrived at Leganés in April 2025, coming from Real Madrid, where he worked as head of national recruitment for the base.
Pardo’s stay comes at a time of profound transition at the club. In June 2026, the 885 Capital fund completed the acquisition of around 84% of the shares that were still with Blue Crow Sports Group. Added to its previous participation, the group now controls 99.1% of Leganés.
With a profile focused on sports and technology, the new shareholder signals sustainable growth plans. Cosín, who previously held the position of executive vice-president, has experience in business management and has known the club since 2022. Pardo’s continuity reinforces confidence in the work already started in assembling the squad.
Andrés Pardo, 45 years old, brings solid experience from Spanish grassroots football. Before Real Madrid, he spent time at Villarreal and Levante, where he contributed to the development of several talents. At Leganés, he has already actively participated in planning, including the winter transfer market.
Maintaining the football management is seen as a key element for the 2026/27 season. With Pardo at the helm, the club seeks to continue the work model focused on detecting and harnessing talent, aligned with the long-term objectives outlined by the new management.
