Club Atlético Osasuna announced this Wednesday (10) the hiring of Luis Miguel Ramis as the new coach of the first team. The 55-year-old Catalan coach signed a contract valid until June 30, 2028.
Ramis arrives in Pamplona after a spell at Burgos, in the Spanish Second Division, where he recently ended his time. He replaces Italian Alessio Lisci, who left the club after an uneven end to the season. The official presentation is scheduled for today, at 6pm (local time), with a press conference at El Sadar stadium.
The agreement includes the arrival of the coach’s entire usual technical team. Ramis will be accompanied by second coach José Manuel Gil, assistant coach Iván Madroño, physical trainer Miguel Ángel Fernández and analyst José Fajardo.
This will be Ramis’ first experience in the elite of Spanish football. Born in Tarragona, the former central defender has spent more than a decade as a head coach, with spells at clubs such as Almería, Albacete and Tenerife, as well as work in Real Madrid’s youth teams.
Consolidated trajectory in the Second DivisionThroughout his career, Ramis built a reputation for promoting collective work and defensive organization. His style tends to prioritize tactical balance and taking advantage of base players, characteristics that Osasuna values to maintain stability in LaLiga.
The Navarrese club seeks to regain consistency with this signing after recent fluctuations. Ramis takes on the project with the mission of structuring the team for the 2026/27 season, with a focus on avoiding fights against relegation and exploiting the good environment at El Sadar.
What changes for OsasunaThe arrival of a coach experienced in access competitions and with a history of managing groups reinforces the club’s commitment to a pragmatic profile. Ramis will have the next few weeks to get to know the squad, define the pre-season and start planning for signings.
