Samsung released an official trailer highlighting the health news with artificial intelligence that will reach the Galaxy Watch 9 line. The presentation takes place at VivaTech 2026, in Paris, and reinforces the company’s commitment to wearables that go beyond basic monitoring to offer proactive guidance.
The fair, which takes place from June 17th to 20th at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, has as its central theme “Artificial Intelligence: Impact, Not Illusion”. Samsung participates with the slogan “Open Invitation to a Healthier Tomorrow”, presenting AI-powered connected care solutions.
Samsung Health update already underway
The company started rolling out a major update to the Samsung Health app on June 8th. It serves as a preview of the features that will actually debut in the next smart watches. The focus is to transform complex biometric data into practical and personalized insights for everyday life.
Among the highlights is the resourceVitals, which analyzes five vital signs collected during sleep — heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature and blood oxygenation — and compares them with the individual resting pattern. The user only receives alerts when there are relevant deviations, avoiding excessive notifications.
New indicators for cardiovascular health and fitness
Another advance is theHeart Health Score, which unifies sleep, stress, physical activity, and body composition data to generate a daily score on long-term heart health. It evolves the previously released Vascular Load feature.
O Daily Cardio Loadmeasures the accumulated cardiovascular load and suggests ideal intensity of aerobic training, helping to avoid overload or injuries. Already theFitness Indexcompares metrics like VO2 max, heart rate, and steps against benchmarks to provide personalized goals and identify strengths and weaknesses.
The app’s interface has been reorganized into five main pillars: Sleep, Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness and Vitals, facilitating access to daily tips and the Energy Score with AI.
Greater Connected Ecosystem Strategy
Samsung has been consistently investing in Samsung Health over the past few years. At VivaTech, the brand will also showcase solutions for longevity and even monitoring the well-being of pets, integrating watches, smartphones and other devices.
These features arrive at a time when the wearables market seeks to differentiate itself through the depth of health analysis, not just the number of sensors. The expectation is that the Galaxy Watch 9 will bring hardware optimized to process AI more efficiently directly on the device.
