RedMagic is preparing to launch its latest gaming device in China, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, later this month. This device promises to transform the mobile gaming experience by enabling native execution of AAA computer titles through an innovative x86 emulator developed by the company itself. Furthermore, the tablet will be equipped with powerful technical specifications and an advanced liquid cooling system.
The highlight of the new model will, without a doubt, be its emulation program designed to run PC games. This system will be integrated into the Game Space application and will feature an exclusive translation layer, optimized to allow x86 applications and high-performance games to run directly in the Android environment. This proprietary approach seeks to overcome technical compatibility and performance challenges while offering a fluid experience to users.
The technology used in the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will allow you to import game libraries from the Steam platform and install titles through executable files (.exe). With this, it will be possible to enjoy games at resolutions of up to 2K, with support for a refresh rate of 144 Hz during the emulation process, guaranteeing sharp images and impressive fluidity.
As for its internal specifications, the tablet will be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, a cutting-edge processor that, combined with a liquid cooling system, will ensure that performance is maintained at high levels even during intense gaming sessions. For graphics display, the device will feature a 9.06-inch OLED screen, offering 2.4K resolution, 1,600 nits brightness and a 185 Hz refresh rate, providing vibrant and responsive visuals.
Complementing its features, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will come with a robust 8,500 mAh battery, support for 80W fast charging and two USB-C ports for greater versatility. The official launch in China is scheduled for June 30th, while the date of arrival on the global market has not yet been defined. It is expected that, outside of China, the device will be sold under the name RedMagic Astra 2.
