Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher will bring Oasis back on stage across the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe and the United States in 2027, revisiting the Hertfordshire grounds of Knebworth thirty years after their historic performances following their lucrative 2025 reunion tour.
The group confirmed new concert dates for 2027, establishing an official return to Knebworth three decades after their two performances at the venue in August 1996. Organizers scheduled multiple nights at the location.
In a public statement, the musicians proclaimed, “Start the celebrations!”, adding that after reflection they declared themselves fit for purpose to lift spirits once again.
Billed as Oasis Live 27, the itinerary opens in Glasgow on 21 May and visits Manchester, Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Boston, Las Vegas and Slane Castle north of Dublin. Four nights at Knebworth in September will conclude the run.
A drone formation over Manchester’s Etihad stadium displayed the initial clues about the schedule following preliminary hints on Instagram.
This new circuit follows the 2025 reunion that staged 41 concerts across the UK, Europe, the Americas, east Asia and Australia, ending a 16-year separation that began in 2009. Critic Alexis Petridis noted after the opening show in Cardiff that “you struggle to think of another artist that’s received such a vociferous reception.”
The scheduled stops include mainland Europe for the first time since the reunion, alongside US stops skipped during the previous run. Playing Paris marks a direct return to the location where the group originally fractured prior to their appearance at the Rock en Seine festival in 2009. The French concert carries historical significance for the lineup.
Prices for tickets in the UK run between £71.50 and £266.60 with all rates published prior to sale. The advance release follows regulatory intervention that compelled Ticketmaster to overhaul promotional practices and eliminate misleading seating notices after customer protests regarding the 2025 sales.
During the previous campaign, tiered pricing forced buyers anticipating £148.50 charges to confront £350 costs at checkout within brief decision windows. Ticketmaster must now notify consumers 24 hours beforehand if dynamic rates apply, specifying eligible tickets and explaining the purchase mechanism. Once sales go live, the company must post and refresh the full price range.
Registration remains mandatory until 4pm BST on 17 September for prospective attendees. Event promoters stated that the registration system exists “to reduce queuing times and organised ticket touting in order to give genuine fans the best possible chance to buy tickets.”
Audiences recently gained access to footage from the 2025 performances through the cinema release of the reunion film Don’t Look Back in Anger, which debuted at the Venice film festival.
The documentary bypassed the broader controversies surrounding admission tariffs, retaining only a single on-stage comment from Liam Gallagher directed at attendees in upper tiers. The singer addressed the crowd by stating, “Actually there are no cheap seats, sorry about that.”
In October 2025, British peer Baroness Taylor of Stevenage first mentioned the Knebworth return in the House of Lords, stating the band would hold five concerts “in the fantastic venue of Knebworth House,” one mile from her residence.
She withdrew the statement shortly afterward. The politician clarified that she had been “speaking hypothetically following speculation that they would play Knebworth again as they did in August 1996.”
Industry interest escalated in August when SJM Concerts managing director Simon Moran secured an operational licence for Knebworth to host crowds of 125,000 people.
During their initial 1996 concerts, the group played before 250,000 spectators, representing one-tenth of the total applicants who comprised over 4% of the British population. Noel Gallagher told the assembly on the second evening that “this is history.” Commercial replicas of the clothing worn by Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher during those performances recently entered retail distribution.
A separate 2021 documentary, titled Oasis Knebworth 1996, framed the shows as a historic cultural zenith, with critic Ben Beaumont-Thomas noting that the narration suggested “all live music went downhill afterwards.” Liam Gallagher subsequently headlined the park grounds in June 2022.
Trade organization UK Music estimated that five concerts at Heaton Park in Manchester generated a 16% rise in tourism spending to £1.4bn while boosting national vinyl sales.
Speculation continues regarding Oasis headlining the Glastonbury festival in 2027. The potential booking aligns with the festival’s return following a scheduled fallow year in 2026.
The band’s return intensified nostalgia across popular culture, generating a theatrical production about their rivalry with Blur, an album titled Britpop by Robbie Williams, and broader commercial adoption in the US market.
