Samsung Galaxy A16 5G launches with 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen and support for updates until 2030

Samsung launched the Galaxy A16 5G, an entry-level smartphone with 5G connectivity and Exynos 1330 processor. The device reached the European and Asian markets in January 2025, with expansion to other regions in March and April. Equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and IP54 certification, the model promises six years of software updates, reaching Android 20.

The device is part of the Galaxy A line and focuses on efficient performance for daily tasks. Available in 4GB or 6GB RAM variants, it supports expandable storage up to 1TB via microSD. The Full HD+ screen with a rate of 90 Hz improves the streaming and browsing experience.

Ergonomic design and resistance

IP54 certification protects against dust and water splashes. The 3.5mm headphone jack caters to users who prefer wired audio.

Advanced technology screen

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen offers Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels). With a maximum brightness of 800 nits, it guarantees visibility in bright environments.

90Hz refresh rate delivers fluid scrolling in casual apps and games. AMOLED technology consumes less power compared to LCD panels.

Reinforced glass resists light scratches in everyday life. This combination raises the visual standard in the entry segment.

Exynos processor performance

The Exynos 1330, manufactured in 5 nm, manages multitasking efficiently. The octa-core chip handles seamless browsing, calling, and video playback.

The 5,000 mAh battery lasts more than a day with moderate use. 15W charging completes the charge in about two and a half hours.

Expandable 64GB or 128GB storage supports files and apps. The processor optimizes consumption for demanding tasks.

Versatile camera system

The 50 MP main camera produces color-balanced photos in good lighting conditions. Night mode improves results in low light.
