Canada beats Venezuela 2-0 with goals from Koné and Promise David in a friendly

Canadá defeated Venezuela 2-0 on Tuesday night (18), in a friendly match played in Chase Stadium, in Fort Lauderdale, in Estados Unidos. Ismael Koné opened the scoring in the 23rd minute of the first half and Promise David doubled the score in the 83rd minute of the second half. The game, which started at 10:30 pm Brasília time, served as preparation for the two teams before the 2026 Copa Mundo qualifiers.

The Canadian team, led by coach Jesse Marsch, controlled the main actions of the match and created more clear scoring opportunities. Niko Sigur, Canadá’s midfielder, was elected player of the match by the event organizers.
