Coach Paulo Fonseca announced that striker Endrick should make his debut for Olympique Lyonnais this Sunday (11), against Lille, away from home, in a match valid for Copa of França. The Portuguese gave a press conference this Friday (9) and detailed the physical condition of the 19-year-old Brazilian, on loan from Real Madrid. Endrick has not entered the field since December 17th, when he played for Real Madrid against Talavera, for Copa of Rei.

Fonseca highlighted that the player is physically prepared after participating in all training since joining the group. The coach avoided confirming whether Endrick will start the match as a starter, but reinforced the expectation of use. The match takes place at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, at Lille, with French local time scheduled for the evening.

Quick adaptation to the new environment

Endrick arrived at Lyon in December 2025 and is already demonstrating good integration in collective training. The coach noted that the attacker adapts to the team’s style of play in both the offensive and defensive sectors. The Brazilian’s presence reinforces the club’s attack, which is looking for greater depth in the squad.

The Portuguese emphasized the player’s youth and the need for a gradual period of integration. Endrick actively participates in activities and receives support from the group to accelerate the familiarization process with Ligue 1 and Copa of França.

Valued physical and technical profile

Fonseca described Endrick as a fit athlete, with the ability to contribute in duels and individual initiative. The coach highlighted the Brazilian’s explosiveness and versatility, characteristics that meet the tactical demands of Lyon in the current season.

The loan until June 2026 represents an opportunity for Endrick to accumulate minutes and experience at a high European level. The French club pays part of the salary, in an agreement that includes performance clauses.

Preparation for the decisive duel

Lyon faces Lille in a knockout match between Copa and França, a competition that requires focus and intensity from the start. The possible entry of Endrick in the final minutes or as a change of pace could offer the coach tactical options.

The team travels to the clash with renewed confidence after a period of intense training. Endrick, motivated by the new phase, seeks to contribute to the team’s advancement in the dispute.

Expectations surrounding the Brazilian

The arrival of Endrick generated great interest among fans and the press. The striker, who will wear the number 9 shirt, represents a bet for the Lyon attack in the midst of the competitive season. Fonseca maintains caution regarding time in the field, prioritizing physical preservation and gradual evolution.

The duel against Lille marks the beginning of Endrick’s journey to França. Participation, although limited, symbolizes the beginning of an important cycle in the young Brazilian’s career.
