Nintendo released, this Tuesday (17), important technical updates for two of the main titles in the The Legend of Zelda franchise. The update files, identified as version 1.4.3 for Tears of the Kingdom and 1.9.0 for Breath of the Wild, are now available for download on the consoles
This move takes place amidst the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the series, originally launched in 1986.
Specific adjustments to Tears of the Kingdom
Update 1.4.3 for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brings a definitive solution to a specific issue that has frustrated completionists. A technical error prevented the game from correctly recording the defeat of Black Hinox located in the Castelo region of Hyrule. Mesmo after defeating the enemy, the system did not count the victory, blocking the obtaining of Medalha from Monstro Hinox.
By installing the new patch, the bug is eliminated retroactively. Jogadores who had already defeated the creature, but did not receive credit, will now see their record updated automatically when loading the save, allowing them to complete the medal collection without having to face the boss again.
Expanded support in Breath of the Wild
For The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, version 1.9.0 introduces a new feature aimed at accessibility in new markets. The game received official support for the Thai language, an exclusive feature for those running the title on Nintendo Switch 2. The option can be activated by selecting “Thai/English” in the console settings.
The implementation keeps the original or English audio, changing only the subtitles and interface texts to the new language. Além of localization, the update fixes several minor gameplay and stability issues that persisted in the previous version, ensuring a more fluid experience in both portable and docked mode.
Performance on updated hardware
The updates speak directly to the improvements implemented in the editions for Nintendo Switch 2, released in June 2025. Estas versions offer significant technical advantages over the original hardware, including frame rates of up to 60 fps and reduced loading times. Current patches maintain full compatibility with older saves, allowing progress to be transferred between generations.
Key technical highlights of the optimized versions include:
– Resolução enhanced with dynamic HDR support.
– Estabilidade performance in areas of high graphic density.
– Integração with companion app Zelda Notes for item tracking.
Nintendo reinforces that, to apply the corrections, the console must be connected to the internet. The download starts automatically when trying to open the software or can be forced manually through the game options menu on the system’s home screen.
