Massive failure on PlayStation Network prevents user access and blocks digital games worldwide

A widespread outage on Sony’s servers left millions of players without access to online services on the night of February 7th. The technical incident affected the operation of PlayStation Network on a global scale, preventing login to user profiles, access to the virtual store and validation of licenses for digital games, which generated immediate frustration in the gaming community.

Owners of PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles reported severe difficulties using basic features of their devices. The system failure dropped the connection with the PlayStation Store, making purchases and downloads impossible, in addition to directly affecting subscribers of the PlayStation
