Casio officially expanded its Master of G professional line with the launch of the Mudmaster GG-B100X model, a device specifically developed to withstand the most severe environmental conditions. The new equipment was designed with a focus on the needs of rescue teams and professionals working in disaster areas, incorporating an innovative structure that uses carbon fiber to guarantee robustness without compromising lightness. The introduction of this material into the watch’s chassis represents a significant advance in the brand’s engineering, offering superior protection against impacts and deformations.

Innovation in materials and protection against the elements

The big difference of the new Mudmaster lies in its construction known as Carbon Core Guard. Esta technology employs a case reinforced with carbon fiber, a material recognized for its high tensile strength and durability superior to that of many metals. The design includes a special filter inserted between the buttons and the case, preventing the entry of mud and dust, common elements in the scenarios for which the watch was designed. The airtight seal ensures that the function of the buttons remains unaffected even under extremely dirty conditions.

In addition to physical protection, the watch’s design reflects a utilitarian aesthetic inspired by off-road equipment. The bezel features a carbon fiber insert combined with thin resin layers, replicating the look of fuel tanks carried in expedition vehicles. The rear cover, composed of a double layer of stainless steel and fiberglass-reinforced resin, increases shock resistance and maintains the seal necessary for water resistance of up to 200 meters.

Advanced sensors and smart connectivity

The device operates with a system of four compact sensors that monitor compass, atmospheric pressure/altitude, temperature and step count. The integration of this data allows the user to have a complete environmental reading directly on their wrist. The accelerometer, responsible for counting steps, works together with other metrics to provide accurate data on caloric expenditure and level of physical activity during missions.

Bluetooth connectivity expands the watch’s functionality through the brand’s proprietary app. One of the standout functions is the mission log, which combines the altitude data measured by the watch with the smartphone’s GPS to plot the route taken. The system also allows the user to register specific location points; The watch’s second hand now indicates the direction and distance to that recorded point, serving as an essential return navigation tool in environments without visibility.

Technical specifications and availability

The Mudmaster GG-B100X has robust dimensions, measuring 55.4 mm wide and 19.3 mm thick, but maintains a contained weight of approximately 104 grams thanks to the lightweight materials used. Autonomy is guaranteed by a CR2025 battery, with an estimated useful life of two years, requiring frequent recharging. Para nighttime visibility, the model has a high-brightness double LED lighting system, making it easier to read both the analogue hands and the digital display.

The launch hits the international market with color variations that include details in khaki and orange, colors often associated with high visibility rescue uniforms. The suggested price on the European market varies between 399 and 419 euros, while on the Reino Unido the value was set at 349 pounds. Global distribution is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks, reaching authorized dealers and stores specializing in tactical equipment.
