Chinese manufacturer Realme announced this Friday the expansion of its mobile device portfolio with the official launch of the 16 5G model on the Vietnã. The new device seeks to redefine autonomy standards in the mid-range cell phone category by integrating a high-capacity battery with 7000 mAh, supported by 70W fast charging technology. The device arrives in the Asian market operating the Android 16 system under the custom Realme UI 7.0, bringing users the latest software features of the Google, as well as proprietary optimizations for power management and gaming performance.
Strength and visual specifications
One of the technical differences presented in the equipment lies in the IP66, IP68 and IP69K certifications, which ensure protection against dust ingress and water resistance, including support for high pressure jets and temporary submersion. The structure of the device, which weighs 183 grams and is 8.10 mm thick, was designed to balance the large energy capacity with the ergonomics necessary for daily handling.

The screen chosen for the model uses AMOLED technology with 6.57 inches and Full HD+ resolution, delivering a refresh rate of 120 Hz to ensure fluid navigation and multimedia consumption. The panel reaches a peak brightness of 4,200 nits, a specification that aims to facilitate reading and viewing content even in direct sunlight, completing the visual set with an ultrasonic fingerprint reader positioned under the display.
Hardware and processing performance
The new smartphone’s data processing is managed by the MediaTek Dimensity 7000 Turbo platform, a chipset developed to offer energy efficiency combined with consistent multitasking performance. The system works in conjunction with 8 GB or 12 GB LPDDR4x RAM memory options, maintaining standardized internal storage at 256 GB with UFS 2.2 technology for reading and writing files.
To keep the temperature stable during intense use sessions, such as gaming or video recording, the device’s engineering incorporated a heat dissipation area of 6,050 mm². The hardware is powered by a 7000 mAh battery, which supports reverse charging via cable, allowing the cell phone to function as a power source for other small electronic devices in emergency situations.
Photographic resources and artificial intelligence
The device’s camera system adopts a rear design called “Air Design”, with a mirrored finish and a layout reminiscent of models from higher segments. Image capture capabilities have been enhanced with artificial intelligence tools such as AI Blur Fix for focus correction and AI Ultra Clear for sharpening, as well as the ability to remove unwanted objects from scenes.
The photographic sensor configuration includes a main rear lens with a 50 MP sensor and autofocus, accompanied by a 2 MP monochrome secondary sensor for depth assistance and filters. On the front, a 50 MP camera is dedicated to high-resolution selfies. The set offers advanced capture modes, covering settings for night environment, portrait mode and dual-view video.
Connectivity and market values
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 networks, in addition to having an infrared emitter that allows it to be used as a universal remote control. Navigation is provided by multiple satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS and Galileo, ensuring accuracy in mapping and location applications.
Sales on the Vietnã started with a price of 11,490,000 VND for the version with 8 GB of RAM, which is equivalent to approximately R$2,328 at the current price. Já the most robust variant, with 12 GB of RAM, was priced at 12,490,000 VND, corresponding to around R$2,531 in direct conversion, without considering import taxes or local Brazilian fees, as the brand has not yet released an official schedule for distribution in other international regions.
