Greenline Yachts presented the new Greenline 42 Hybrid, a 13.5 meter yacht that combines advanced hybrid propulsion with increased solar energy capacity. The model debuted at the Boot Düsseldorf 2026 and replaces the previous Greenline 39 and 40, incorporating improvements based on owner feedback. Projetado by the Italian Marco Casali, the yacht maintains the brand’s DNA, focusing on efficiency, comfort and sustainable operation.

The optimized hull allows it to reach a maximum speed of 25 knots with twin Yanmar diesel engines of 250 hp each. The hybrid version includes 23 kW electric motors and the proprietary H-Drive 6G system, which manages energy intelligently. Essa configuration enables silent cruising in electric mode at around 6-7 knots over distances of up to 20 nautical miles.

  • Flexible layout with open cockpit options or a central table for four people.
  • Optional folding stern platform for greater access to the water.
  • Lounge in the bow inspired by larger models in the line.
  • Seamless integration between salon and cockpit through large doors.

The interior has two cabins and up to two bathrooms, providing more privacy compared to the previous model. The owner’s suite is in the bow, while the guest cabin can be configured as a twin or double. The open-plan layout favors circulation and natural light, with modern finishes and spacious spaces for up to six people to stay overnight.

Renewed exterior design

The Slovenian yard has enhanced the yacht’s profile with more contemporary lines, while maintaining the characteristic hardtop roof. Vidros 360-degree panoramic views guarantee total visibility and a feeling of spaciousness. The bow gained elements from larger models, such as a dedicated lounge area.

The expanded cockpit offers versatile configuration options, adapting to different usage styles. Proprietários can choose between side sofa seats or loose furniture for greater flexibility. The drop-down aft platform facilitates water activities and direct access to the sea.

Hybrid system and solar energy

Ten solar panels installed on the hardtop generate up to 4.3 kW, a significant increase compared to the Greenline 40. Essa power feeds the onboard systems without the need for a generator or shore connection. The lithium battery bank stores excess energy for extended use at anchorage.

H-Drive 6G optimizes battery charging with residual energy from diesel mode. At the end of conventional navigation, the batteries are recharged to allow more days of silent operation. Essa technology reduces emissions and noise, ideal for protected areas or prolonged anchorages.

Improved performance and efficiency

With diesel propulsion, the yacht reaches 25 knots, surpassing the performance of the previous model with the same power. The S-shaped hull improves stability and efficiency in different sea conditions. Autonomy in hybrid mode extends cruising possibilities without compromising comfort.

The system allows silent maneuvers in ports or bays, eliminating vibrations and smoke. Proprietários report greater satisfaction with the combination of speed and sustainability. The hybrid configuration adds value for those who prioritize eco-friendly navigation.

Interior layout and comfort

The salon integrates the kitchen and living area into a continuous environment, facilitating social interaction. Portas sliders connect the interior space to the cockpit, creating a unique area for entertainment. Natural lighting predominates thanks to the large side windows and glazed roof.

The cabins offer greater volume and high quality finishes. The additional bathroom improves functionality on trips with more people. The design prioritizes ergonomics and practicality for family or couple cruises.

Available propulsion options

In addition to the hybrid version, the Greenline 42 offers a diesel-only configuration for those who prefer simplicity. Ambas options maintain optimized hull efficiency. The choice depends on the usage profile, with the hybrid standing out for its energy autonomy.

The yacht accommodates up to six people for comfortable overnight stays. The shallow draft of around 0.9 meters facilitates access to shallow waters and marinas. The 4.3 meter width guarantees stability and generous internal space.

Featured sustainable innovations

The integration of solar energy into the hardtop represents a significant advance in the line. The panels provide constant power for on-board devices, reducing dependence on external sources. Essa feature meets growing demand for more independent and environmentally friendly yachts.

The focus on automatic recharging during diesel navigation eliminates concerns about electric range. Proprietários can anchor for days without turning on generators. The technology reinforces Greenline’s commitment to sustainability since 2008.
