Electronics manufacturer Xiaomi finalizes preparations for the introduction of the new generation of mobile devices from the Poco X8 line into the global technology market. The main focus of this portfolio upgrade lies in the significant expansion of energy capacity and the implementation of new processing components. The company’s strategy aims to meet the growing demand for devices capable of supporting long days of continuous use without compromising fluidity in complex tasks and heavy applications. The internal architecture of the equipment was completely redesigned to accommodate cutting-edge technologies, maintaining the brand’s characteristic visual identity and focusing on the durability of the physical components.

Performance boosted by new MediaTek processors

To ensure the agile functioning of the operating system and applications, the most advanced model in the series incorporates the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, a piece of silicon specifically designed to handle highly computationally demanding operations. Este component works together with the Immortalis-G925 MC12 graphics processing unit, forming a set capable of rendering complex three-dimensional graphics and maintaining thermal stability in heavy software. The choice of this specific hardware demonstrates the manufacturer’s intention to position the device as a viable option for users who demand professional-level portable processing power.

The standard version of the line maintains a high standard of processing capacity, using the Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, which reaches operating frequencies of up to 3.4 GHz on its highest performance cores. Acompanhado by the Mali-G720 MC8 GPU, this model seeks to offer an optimized balance between energy efficiency and speed of response for daily and multitasking tasks. Thermal management has been improved on both versions through new heat dissipation chambers, designed to prevent overheating during prolonged periods of system stress and ensure the longevity of internal circuits.

Expanded energy capacity with silicon-carbon technology

The great technical difference of the new line is found in the energy storage system, which adopts advanced silicon-carbon anode technology. Esta innovation in cell chemistry allows for considerably higher energy density compared to traditional lithium-ion batteries found on the market today.

The top-of-the-line model houses a massive 8500 mAh capacity battery, designed to provide multiple days of moderate use or support intense media consumption and browsing sessions without the need for frequent recharges. The base version, in turn, has a 6500 mAh component, maintaining a thinner physical profile without sacrificing daily autonomy.

The 100W HyperCharge fast charging system comes with both devices, allowing complete power restoration in a short period of time. The compatible plug adapter and high-capacity transfer cable are supplied in the original packaging, ensuring immediate use of the fast charging technology.

AMOLED screens with high refresh rate and intense brightness

The visual interface of the devices is built on high-resolution AMOLED panels, optimized to reproduce accurate colors, deep contrasts and absolute blacks. The larger model features a 6.83-inch screen with a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels, ensuring extreme clarity when reading texts and viewing detailed images.

The standard variant has a slightly smaller display, measuring 6.59 inches and offering a resolution of 2756 x 1268 pixels. Protection against accidental impacts and superficial scratches is ensured by applying Corning Gorilla Glass 7i tempered glass to the entire front surface of both mobile devices.

Fluid navigation, page scrolling and interface transitions are maintained by a refresh rate of 120 Hz, adaptively present across the board. The peak brightness of the panels reaches 2000 nits, making it easier to read and view multimedia content even under direct sunlight in outdoor environments.

To minimize visual fatigue during night use or in low-light environments, the manufacturer implemented 3840Hz PWM dimming technology. Este hardware feature drastically reduces imperceptible screen flickering at low light levels, providing a more comfortable and safe viewing experience for the user’s eyes.

Image capture systems with optical stabilization

The main photographic set of the superior model is led by the 50-megapixel Omnivision Light Fusion 600 sensor, equipped with an f/1.50 aperture lens and advanced optical image stabilization (OIS) system. Esta hardware configuration allows the capture of a much greater volume of ambient light, resulting in detailed, sharp night photographs with a low level of digital noise, in addition to guaranteeing video recordings without unwanted shakes.

The standard device uses the Sony IMX882 sensor, also with a resolution of 50 megapixels and an aperture of f/1.59, maintaining the focus on the stability and clarity of images captured on a daily basis. Ambos models share an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens for capturing wide landscapes and architecture, as well as a 20-megapixel front camera dedicated to high-definition video calls and self-portraits, with native support for recording videos in 4K resolution with real-time image processing.

Advanced connectivity and integration with the HyperOS 3 system

The network infrastructure of the new smartphones has been rigorously designed to support the latest and fastest data transmission standards, incorporating Wi-Fi 7E technology, which enables extremely high download speeds and almost zero latency on compatible wireless connections. Communication with peripheral devices is managed by the Bluetooth 5.4 protocol, ensuring absolute stability when pairing with wireless headphones, speakers and smart watches, even in environments with high signal interference. Management of all hardware functions, memory allocation and processing is carried out by the HyperOS 3 operating system, built natively on the Android 16 architecture. Esta software platform offers deep user interface customization features, encrypted security folders to protect sensitive data and tools focused on increasing daily productivity. Biometrics and access security are handled by an ultrasonic fingerprint reader positioned under the screen, providing a fast, accurate and secure authentication method. Adicionalmente, the presence of an infrared ray emitter on the top of the housing allows the devices to function as universal remote controls for televisions, air conditioners and other equipment, integrating smartphones in a practical way into the contemporary home automation ecosystem.

Physical structure in titanium alloy and ergonomic design

The external construction of the devices uses a titanium alloy in the main chassis structure, a material chosen specifically for its high mechanical resistance against torsions and its notable lightness. The most advanced model has a total thickness of 8.2 millimeters and a measured weight of 218 grams, while the standard version measures 8.38 millimeters thick and weighs 201 grams.

The ergonomic design of the edges and the internal weight distribution aim to facilitate the handling of the devices with just one hand, even with the large dimensions of the screens and high-capacity batteries. The matte back finish is chemically engineered to repel fingerprints, sweat stains and provide a secure, firm grip during everyday use.

Availability of colors and market value estimates

The equipment will be available for retail in classic black, white and natural titanium finish color options. The base memory configurations include 12 GB of RAM in the LPDDR5x standard and 512 GB of high-speed internal storage, with the superior model having an estimated launch value of 529 euros, equivalent to approximately 3,215 reais in direct conversion without taxes, while the base version has a projected price in the starting range of 2,425 reais.
