The PS5 version has been optimized to take advantage of specific hardware features. Players will enjoy controller light bar support, DualSense adaptive triggers, and use of the touchpad for quick navigation. On PS5 Pro, there will be a choice between performance mode with a higher frame rate and enhanced visual quality mode at 4K resolution.
- Full support for DualSense features
- Dedicated graphics modes for PS5
- Physical edition Premium with all content released to date
Exclusive features of the PlayStation 5 version
The Sony console adaptation includes targeted technical improvements. Adaptive triggers vary resistance depending on the weapon equipped, while the light bar reflects the status of the ship and character in real time. The touchpad lets you switch between camera views or access the scanner without pausing the action.
These features aim to increase immersion during space explorations. Bethesda confirmed that the base version will be available at a reduced price, and the Premium edition will include the Shattered Space and Terran Armada expansions at no additional cost for those who purchase at launch.
Free update Free Lanes transforms space travel
The Free Lanes update arrives at no cost to all owners of the game on any platform. The main feature is cruise mode, which allows seamless travel between planets within the same star system instead of loading screens. Durante the journey, dynamic events, random encounters and interactions with the crew arise.
Additionally, the update adds new points of interest, dungeons and activities. The X-Tech system allows you to improve weapons and ships in greater depth. Inimigos gain modifiers such as extra shields or elemental damage, and a new land vehicle called Moon Jumper appears for surface exploration.

Additional gameplay improvements with Free Lanes
Outposts receive improvements, including shared storage across multiple locations. A new crew with new characters expands recruitment options. The Starborn to New Game+ system undergoes adjustments that facilitate progression in later cycles.
These changes respond to frequent requests from the community for greater fluidity in travel. The space between planets now has radiant anomalies, wreckage and abandoned ships that generate procedural content during the cruise.
DLC Terran Armada introduces new robotic threat
The paid expansion Terran Armada introduces a quest line in Sistemas Colonizados. Jogadores face growing robotic forces and make decisions that influence humanity’s future in space. The story includes new characters, new locations and exclusive rewards.
The content will be available for $9.99. Quem has the Premium edition on Xbox or Steam receives the expansion at no additional cost. On PS5, Premium Edition also includes Terran Armada in the launch package.
Expansion of Aliança from Rastreadores with new missions
Five new adventures come to the Aliança bounty hunter system. Elas include updated contracts, different targets, and improved rewards. Proprietários of original content access these missions for free.
New players can unlock the material through Créditos of Criação. Essa addition reinforces parallel activities and offers more progression paths within the game universe.
Continuing evolution of Starfield since original release
Released in September 2023, Starfield represented the first new Bethesda universe in over 20 years. The game received regular updates with quality of life improvements and support for more than a thousand community creations. The April update is described as the biggest since its debut.
The arrival on PS5 reinforces Microsoft’s multiplatform strategy after the acquisition of Bethesda. The title now reaches a wider audience without changing the core experience developed by the studio.
PS5 Pro support and physical editing options
Players with PS5 Pro will be able to choose between 4K visual mode at 30 fps and high frame rate performance mode. The Premium physical edition for PlayStation 5 includes all content released through April, plus new updates and expansions.
Pre-orders are now available for digital and physical versions. Bethesda plans to continue supporting the game with future updates for all platforms.
New content expands exploration options
Update Free Lanes includes improvements to ship and outpost customization. Jogadores can purchase an asteroid mansion with millions of credits. Additional Câmeras allow for more distant views of the ship during flight.
These elements combine with the new narrative of Terran Armada to offer both story and free activities. The focus remains on the freedom of exploration that defines the space RPG.
Starfield continues to receive constant attention from Bethesda. The date of April 7th marks an important moment for the title by opening the universe to PlayStation 5 users with updated and optimized content.
