Meghan and Harry expand creative projects with new productions in development at Netflix and other platforms

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to develop audiovisual content through Archewell Productions. The company, created after the departure of the royal family in 2020, has already delivered several titles in partnerships with Netflix, Apple TV+ and Disney. Novos projects were announced in 2025 and 2026, including documentaries and a drama series.

The list of works covers launches carried out, initiatives that have not progressed and adaptations in the initial phase. The couple signed agreements that allow fiction and non-fiction production on different streaming services. The focus remains on inspiring stories, personal themes and adaptations of literary works.

Launches made on Netflix

The couple produced several series and documentaries for the platform. Harry & Meghan, a six-episode docuseries, premiered in December 2022. The content featured never-before-seen photos and videos of the relationship and Reino Unido’s departure.

Live to Lead arrived in the catalog in the same month of December 2022, with seven episodes. The series highlighted world leaders and included one of the last interviews with Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Heart of Invictus, released in 2023, had five episodes and followed Jogos Invictus athletes.

Polo debuted in 2024 with five episodes. The production followed sports players, with the couple appearing in the final episode. With Love, Meghan, a lifestyle program hosted by Meghan, had its first season in March 2025 with eight episodes. The second season arrived in August 2025, accompanied by a year-end special.

Masaka Kids, Rhythm Within, a 40-minute short documentary about Ugandan dancers, was released in 2025. The title was produced in partnership with Campfire Studios.

Documentaries on other platforms and partnerships

In addition to Netflix, the couple participated in projects in different services. Meghan narrated the documentary Elephant, by Disneynature, released in 2020 on Disney+. The film followed a herd of elephants migrating between Delta and Zambeze River.

Harry served as executive producer and interviewee on the Apple TV+ docuseries The Me You Can’t See, aired in 2021. The content covered mental health with participation from Oprah Winfrey. Archewell Audio produced a year-end podcast special in December 2020, lasting 33 minutes and contributions from various personalities.

In 2025, Meghan presented Confessions of a Female Founder, a series of nine episodes with interviews with female entrepreneurs. The program was made in partnership with Lemonada Media.

New documentary released in 2026

Cookie Queens, a 91-minute documentary, premiered in January 2026. The production, run by Archewell, followed a diverse group of Girl Scouts during the cookie selling season. The film received positive reviews and a special screening on Festival of Sundance. It was directed by Alysa Nahmias, with distribution by Roadside Attractions.

Projects that did not advance

Some ideas announced or discussed did not make it to launch. Pearl, a children’s animated series about a 12-year-old girl who travels through time to meet women from history, was canceled in 2022 by Netflix before going into effective production.

A podcast proposal about childhood trauma and its effects on men was discussed during the period with Spotify, but did not come to fruition. The contract with the audio platform ended in 2023 after the broadcast of 12 episodes of Archetypes and other content.

Novel adaptations in development

Archewell Productions acquired rights to two literary works for transformation into films. Meet Me at the Lake, a novel by Carley Fortune about a couple’s reunion, had the rights secured in 2023. The project remains in pre-production at Netflix.

The Wedding Date, Jasmine Guillory’s 2018 bestseller, was optioned in 2025. Tracy Oliver is involved in the script. Ambas adaptations are part of the extended agreement with Netflix.

Scripted series about polo in production

An untitled drama series about the world of polo is in development at Netflix. The project, inspired by the docuseries Polo, explores dynamics between rival teams and families in Wellington, at Flórida. The production is described as a high-level drama that mixes elements of rivalry and personal life.

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, from Fake Empire, participate in executive production. Francisca X. Hu signs the script. Harry and Meghan act as executive producers for Archewell. The announcement took place in March 2026 and reinforces the commitment to fiction content.

Extended agreement with Netflix and future plans

Archewell Productions has extended its relationship with Netflix through a multi-year first-look agreement for films and series. The new arrangement was confirmed in 2025 and allows the platform to have preference over the couple’s new ideas. Fontes upcoming projects indicate a mix of fiction and non-fiction projects in the coming years.
