Amazon has started rolling out its enhanced version of Alexa, called Alexa+, in the German and Austrian markets. The service, which integrates generative artificial intelligence capabilities, will initially be available as an open early access program, allowing users to sign up to participate in the testing phase. The Alexa+ preserves integration with the existing Alexa ecosystem, allowing Echo device owners to maintain their previous configurations. The service will operate on Echo, Fire TV devices and Amazon’s Alexa app. Expansion to web browsers is planned, but no specific date has been announced.
