Samsung has significantly expanded access to the One UI 8.5 beta program, now including a wider range of Galaxy devices. The update reaches models such as the Galaxy S24 series (including the FE version), the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, in addition to the Galaxy S25 FE and the Galaxy Tab S11 line. The launch is gradual and limited to specific markets, such as Coreia of Sul, Estados Unidos, Índia and Reino Unido. Usuários in these countries can sign up via the Samsung Members app to test the new interface before the stable release.

Dispositivos eligible for beta program

Samsung prioritizes devices launched from 2024 and 2025 for the testing phase. The inclusion of the Galaxy S24 represents an important advance for those who still use the 2024 line as their main device. The Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 foldables also gain early access to features in development, reflecting the company’s strategy of focusing on hardware compatible with the proposed optimizations.

Older Dispositivos, such as the Galaxy S21 series or earlier foldables, are not included in the eligible list. Samsung maintains clear criteria to focus testing on models that adequately support new features. Proprietários of excluded devices must follow official announcements about the stable update.

Expansão gradual by regions

The release of One UI 8.5 beta takes place in a geographically segmented manner. At the moment, participation is restricted to the four markets mentioned, without the inclusion of Brasil. Interessados must open the Samsung Members app, locate the banner dedicated to the beta program and accept the terms to receive the update via OTA (Over-The-Air).

Samsung indicated that it intends to expand access to more devices in April 2026. Essa next phase may include other Galaxy models and, eventually, more countries. The segmented rollout strategy helps identify specific issues by model and region before global launch.

Principais new features of One UI 8.5

The new version of the interface brings significant visual and functional refinements. Entre highlights are adjustments to the general design, with new effects in menus and more fluid navigation. The Now Bar gains a widget dedicated to the alarm, facilitating quick access to this function on a daily basis.

Artificial intelligence appears at several points in the interface. Há feature automatically hides sensitive data in photos, such as document numbers or personal information. No Samsung Notes, Math Solver function helps in solving equations directly in the application. Bixby receives integration with Perplexity’s AI capabilities for more advanced and contextualized responses.

Recursos management also gain power. Call filter has been enhanced using AI to automatically identify and manage unwanted calls. A new mechanism identifies and can silence applications that generate excessive volume of notifications, improving the overall user experience.

Como participate and important considerations

Quem has one of the eligible models in participating countries and can apply directly through Samsung Members. The process involves accepting the program’s terms and waiting for notification of update availability. Distribution occurs in waves, so not everyone receives the update at the same time.

Samsung recommends that testers make a complete backup of their data before installation, as beta versions may present instabilities or temporary bugs. The program allows the company to collect real-time feedback for final adjustments before the stable release. Usuários on Brasil and other unlisted markets do not yet have access to the beta phase and must follow official announcements for future updates.
