Nissan Versa 2026 arrives in Mexico with design inspired by the X-Trail and manual transmission
Nissan officially presented the Versa 2026 in the Mexican market. The compact sedan features a redesigned front end, a modernized interior and a manual transmission option. The model is manufactured at the Aguascalientes plant and remains one of the brand’s best sellers in the region, with more than one million units sold since 2011.
Frente inspired by the X-Trail with a more robust design
The redesign focused on the front of the vehicle. The new two-segment headlights and updated grille bring elements from the X-Trail SUV, creating a more solid and modern appearance. The dimensions remain compact: 4,500 mm long, 1,740 mm wide and 1,470 mm high.
At the rear, the black finish on the taillight details visually connects with the front headlights, reinforcing the sensation of width. The redesigned wheels and tires, along with the new bumper, complete the visual package. The change does not affect the vehicle’s structure, maintaining the Versa’s characteristic visual identity.
Interior modernized with larger screen and Bose sound
The dashboard received a more contemporary layout. The top-of-the-line version includes a 12.3-inch central screen, a significant improvement over previous generations. The Bose sound system with eight speakers integrated into the headrest offers superior audio quality in equipped versions.

Motor 1.6 with 118 horsepower in two gearbox options
The mechanical package uses a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. Power is 118 horsepower and torque is 110 foot-pounds. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT transmission. Wheel drive is front-wheel drive in all versions.
Nissan maintained simple specifications in some security items, prioritizing robustness and maintenance cost. The focus remains on offering a practical and affordable sedan for the Mexican market, without complex technological features that would increase the final price.

The Versa 2026 is offered in four trim levels. The manual version Sense Base features an open table. Prices vary depending on the transmission and additional features included in each band.
