Volvo EX60 2027 begins pre-sales in the US with a price below the XC60 hybrid

Volvo’s mid-size electric model has opened pre-orders in the US market with a starting price of $59,795. The pricing strategy places the EX60 more expensive than the gasoline version of the XC60, but below the XC60 plug-in hybrid. Essa position offers an attractive alternative for consumers looking for the Swedish brand without being satisfied with the hybrid model’s 35 kilometers of electric range.
The Volvo’s electric offensive finds its critical point in autonomy. The EX60 P6 Plus, entry-level version equipped with a single 369 horsepower rear electric motor, delivers an estimated range of 307 kilometers on a full charge. Isso places the new crossover in a comfortable position among competitors in the medium-premium category.

Carregamento fast and integrated technology
The EX60’s charging system reaches speeds of up to 320 kilowatts through the Tesla standard NACS port. A discharged battery receives 250 kilometers of autonomy in just ten minutes, while charging from ten to eighty percent takes sixteen minutes. Native Tesla connectivity represents strategic alignment with the dominant charging infrastructure on Estados Unidos.
The model’s technological package includes:
- Tela 15-inch central OLED infotainment system based on Google
- Assistente artificial intelligence natively integrated Gemini
- Sistema audio Bose with 21 speakers
- Conjunto full active security Safe Space Technology
The Ultra configuration adds features for an additional $6,600, bringing a ventilated Nappa leather interior, Bowers & Wilkins 28-speaker sound, panoramic roof with adjustable electrochromic glass and heated second-row seats.
Versão dual motor expands power and range
The P10 AWD starts at $62,145 and mounts two electric motors, one on each axle, totaling 503 combined horsepower. Essa dual configuration allows accelerated charging of up to 370 kilowatts, recovering 265 kilometers of range in the same ten minutes as the base version. Fast charging time maintains the same standard of sixteen minutes between ten and eighty percent battery.
A third model, the P12 AWD with greater range and high performance, will be added to the catalog later. Volvo did not provide dates or specifications for this additional release in the initial announcement.
Strategic Posicionamento in the segment
The entry of the EX60 represents a calculated move against the XC60, the brand’s best-seller for almost a decade. Todos EX60 models surpass the 300-kilometer range mark, eliminating one of the main objections from consumers hesitant about full electrification. The competitive price compared to the plug-in hybrid creates a direct incentive for migration between the Volvo’s own lines.
The crossover competes in a hot segment where manufacturers like Tesla, BMW and Mercedes have launched similarly sized electric rivals. The aggressive pricing strategy points to demand for premium brand electric vehicles without the premium traditionally charged in this category.
