Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson was arrested on Monday night (8) on suspicion of aggravated domestic violence. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed the arrest after responding to a domestic assault call.
Officers were called around 10:46 pm to an address in the West Hills neighborhood, in the San Fernando Valley region. Jackson was arrested shortly after midnight and booked at 4:24 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Nuys Community Police Station. He was released on $50,000 bail at about 7:20 a.m.
The charge involves intentional bodily injury against a spouse or partner. Initial reports indicate that the woman had scratches on her arms and that the incident involved an argument over cell phone use.
Rams statement
The Los Angeles Rams issued a short statement on the case. “We are aware of the incident involving Alaric Jackson and take these matters very seriously. As this is an ongoing legal process, we cannot comment further at this time,” the franchise said.
Previous history
This isn’t the first time Jackson has faced issues off the field. In November 2025, a woman sued him alleging that he recorded sexual acts without consent in May 2024, in Los Angeles. The lawsuit claims that the player pressured the relationship, lied about having deleted the video and shared it, causing new trauma.
In 2024, the NFL suspended him for two games at the start of the season for violating its personal conduct policy — no details were public at the time. The reason came to light with the court case.
Career and recent contract
Jackson, who turns 28 next month, arrived in the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2021. He signed with the Rams in May of that year and established himself as a starter, starting 51 of 57 games played in five seasons.
In February 2025, the player renewed for three years and $57 million, consolidating his role as a pillar of the offensive line that protects Matthew Stafford.
The arrest occurs at a sensitive time for the team, which seeks to maintain consistency in protecting the quarterback after a good recent campaign.
What happens now
Jackson has a hearing scheduled for June 30. The investigation continues and the NFL must analyze the case in light of the personal conduct policy, which could result in a new suspension.
