On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Nintendo Direct brought good news for fans of the Xenoblade Chronicles series. Nintendo has confirmed the Nintendo Switch 2 editions of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Each title in the trilogy comes with important technical improvements. Games run at 60 frames per second, with 4K resolution when connected to the TV and in Full HD in portable mode. Players will also find additional content that enriches the experience.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now available for download. The version includes a high-speed vehicle to explore vast environments faster, new racing modes with rewards, new equipment and additional voice acting in the Heart-to-Heart scenes. Anyone who already owns the original game on Switch can purchase an upgrade.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is scheduled for digital release on July 30, 2026. The physical version arrives on the same day. The title receives visual and performance improvements similar to those of the first edition.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is scheduled for December 3, 2026, in both digital and physical formats. Pre-orders for upgrade packages are open.

In addition to the remasters of the trilogy, Direct presented Xenoblade Genesis, a new game in the series that marks a fresh start. The title arrives exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. The announcement reinforces Monolith Soft’s commitment to the console.

Technical enhancements and extra content allow veterans to revisit the stories of Shulk, Rex, and Noah in superior quality. For new players, the Switch 2 editions represent the ideal way to enter the epic saga of adventure and exploration.
