This Thursday (11), ABEMA begins broadcasting Spotify On Stage Tokyo 2025 -Year-End Special- for free, the first year-end special event promoted by Spotify. The show, held last December at the Tokyo Garden Theater, brought together artists who marked the platform’s main playlists throughout 2025.

The event summed up the Japanese music scene that year with live performances from big names. Among the highlights were m-flo, who celebrated 25 years of career, Creepy Nuts, responsible for hits like “Otonoke” with strong international repercussion, and Sakanaction, who also participated in Spotify’s advertising campaigns.

Chanmina brought her characteristic charisma to the stage, while HANA, which debuted in April 2025, was already racking up chart successes. Hitsujibungaku, winner of the Best National Alternative Artist award at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN, completed the team with recent tours across America, Asia and Europe that generated great attention.

Kemio and Mika Horii served as masters of ceremonies. In addition to the presentations, the audience followed behind-the-scenes conversations with the artists and previews of exclusive Spotify videos, creating an experience that mixed live music with the platform’s resources.

What makes the event special

Held on December 12, 2025, Spotify On Stage Tokyo was the first initiative of its kind promoted by the company in Japan. The line-up was assembled based on Spotify’s most popular lists and playlists, which guaranteed a representative cut of the musical year. Muitas canções foram apresentadas pela primeira vez ao vivo, gerando entusiasmo imediato no público presente.
