The BYD Song Pro GL, a mid-sized plug-in hybrid SUV, is now sold directly to individuals with a significant discount. The new commercial condition reduces the suggested price from R$189,990 to R$161,490, which represents a saving of R$28,500.

The measure expands access to the model in the Brazilian market and reinforces BYD’s strategy of accelerating the adoption of electrified vehicles.

Discount equates mid-size hybrid to the price of compact SUV

With direct sales, the Song Pro GL is at the same entry price level as compact combustion SUVs, such as the Volkswagen T-Cross 200 TSI. The difference is that the BYD model operates in a higher segment, with a plug-in hybrid package of 223 hp of combined power and torque of 40.8 kgfm.

The Song Pro GL delivers an electric range of up to 49 km and greater total capacity. The initiative comes at a time of strong expansion in the hybrid market in Brazil, which is already recording growth of over 57% in the first months of 2026, with BYD leading plug-in sales.

In terms of dimensions, the SUV measures 4.73 meters in length, with a wheelbase of 2.71 meters and a trunk capacity of 520 liters. The package includes a digital dashboard, multimedia center with rotating screen, 360-degree camera, leather seats, dual-zone air conditioning, motorized rear lid and digital key.

In terms of safety, there are six airbags, stability and traction controls, parking sensors and four-wheel disc brakes.

The new pricing policy adds to other actions by the automaker, which opened a factory in Camaçari (BA) and uses local production to gain space against traditional brands.
