Brazil has Slavko Vincic as referee in its debut against Morocco in the World Cup

FIFA announced the refereeing team for the clash between Brazil and Morocco, which opens the team’s campaign in the 2026 World Cup. The person responsible will be Slovenian Slavko Vincic, 46 years old.

Among the main recent performances, the Slovenian was in charge of the duel between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, which ended in a 4-3 German victory. The game took place on April 15th of this year.

He also refereed the decisive match for a place in the World Cup between Sweden and Poland, in the playoffs. The Swedes won 3-2.

Vincic has been a FIFA referee since 2010 and is going to his second World Cup. In 2022, he took charge of two group stage games: Saudi Arabia’s 2-1 victory over Argentina and England’s 3-0 victory over Wales.
