Panini confirmed that the 2026 World Cup Extra Sticker figurines are distributed randomly in the packages, with an average of one in every 100 envelopes.

These special stickers, which do not take up space in the main album, became the main attraction of this year’s collection. Unlike invented numbers that circulate on the internet, the information comes directly from the manufacturer.

The official 2026 World Cup collection is the largest ever produced by Panini. There are 980 different stickers, a direct reflection of the expansion of the tournament to 48 teams — the first time that the World Cup will have this format, with games in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In comparison, the 2022 album had 670 stickers. The growth responds to the greater interest in the event and increases the challenge for those who want to complete the book.

What are Extra Stickers

The 20 Extra Sticker stickers feature world football stars and come in four color variants: standard (purple), bronze, silver and gold. They do not have a specific place to stick in the album and represent an extra layer of rarity within the collection.

Panini explains that packages with Extra Sticker normally include the seven common stickers plus one special one. This makes each envelope a bigger surprise for the collector.

Complete list of players

According to Panini, the stars that have the Extra Sticker version are:

  • Lionel Messi
  • Jérémy Doku
  • Vinícius Junior
  • Alphonso Davies
  • Luis Diaz
  • Florian Wirtz
  • Heung-min Son
  • Raúl Jiménez
  • Achraf Hakimi
  • Cody Gakpo
  • Luka Modrić
  • Moses Caicedo
  • Mohamed Salah
  • Jude Bellingham
  • Kylian Mbappé
  • Erling Haaland
  • Cristiano Ronaldo
  • Lamine Yamal
  • Federico Valverde
  • Christian Pulisic

Each of these players appears in four color versions, totaling 80 extra stickers in total.

How much does it cost to set up the collection

Individual packages cost around R$7 each. Bulk purchases are more affordable in online stores: 100 envelopes cost R$700. There are also kits that include the album.

The illustrated book has options from R$24.90 (paperback) to R$79.90 (special hardcover). Many collectors opt for larger boxes to increase the chances of getting rare ones.

Why this matters to collectors

In addition to the pleasure of completing the album, Extra Stickers are already moving the resale market. Some golden versions of players like Messi and Mbappé are even advertised for thousands of reais on the internet, just a few days after launch.

The lack of space on the main album turns these pieces into parallel collectibles, valued for their scarcity and star appeal.
