Shawn Mendes arrived this Wednesday morning (10) in Rio de Janeiro to spend Valentine’s Day with Bruna Marquezine. As soon as he arrived, the 27-year-old Canadian singer went straight to São Conrado beach, in the South Zone, where the couple was caught by fans and paparazzi in a moment of total intimacy.
They enjoyed the sun with matching beachy looks. Bruna, 30, wore a blue thong bikini, while Shawn wore black shorts. The two bathed in the sea together, exchanging kisses, hugs and constant smiles. At one point, the singer affectionately placed his hand on the actress’s waist.
The reunion takes on even more meaning because of the long-distance relationship routine that the couple has been living for months. Shawn, who lives outside of Brazil, came especially for the holiday celebrated on June 12th.
Beginning of a romance that gained strength in 2025
The first rumors about a possible involvement between the two emerged in 2017, during Rock in Rio, when both were seen at the same event. Nothing concrete happened at the time. Interest resurfaced in March 2025, at Lollapalooza Brasil, where they were photographed talking.
Months later, the couple publicly announced their relationship by spending New Year’s Eve together in Alagoas. Since then, they have maintained a low profile on social media, but appear together on important trips and events, such as the Salvador Carnival.
Photos and videos excite fans
Hours before Shawn disembarked, a video of him on the plane had already excited the couple’s followers. Bruna, in turn, drew attention at the beginning of the week when she was seen shopping in a luxury mall in Rio’s South Zone, surrounded by fans.
In the images of the beach, the light and relaxed atmosphere is evident. Matching towels, dips in the sea and lots of affectionate conversation show the couple relaxed after their period apart.
The moment reinforces that, despite Shawn’s hectic international schedule, Brazil and Bruna remain a priority during the artist’s time off.
