Real Madrid, now under the direction of José Mourinho, has officially entered the competition for Bernardo Silva, midfielder for the Portuguese national team. The negotiation information was initially released by Fabrizio Romano and later confirmed by ESPN, revealing the intense competition for the player.

In addition to the Spanish giant, the athlete is on the radar of clubs such as Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid, in Spain, and Galatasaray, from Turkey. However, the report’s findings indicate that the Catalan and Turkish teams show greater skepticism regarding the success of behind-the-scenes negotiations.

Bernardo Silva ended his spell at Manchester City last season, attracting the attention of several global teams. The possible move to Real Madrid represents the chance to work again with his compatriot José Mourinho, in an ambitious project that the Portuguese coach seems to be shaping for the Merengue team, seeking both offensive and defensive reinforcements.

Recently re-elected as the club’s president, Florentino Pérez has acted aggressively in the transfer market. An example of his stance was the offer of 150 million euros for striker Julián Álvarez, from Atlético de Madrid, a proposal that was promptly rejected by the rival club.

As reported by ESPN, Real Madrid is also focused on strengthening its defensive system at Mourinho’s request. Pérez has already confirmed the acquisitions of Ibrahima Konaté and Dumfries, and the report adds that Ruben Dias, Manchester City defender, is another name targeted by the Spanish team.

While articulating these movements in the transfer market, Real Madrid intensifies its preparations for the start of its pre-season, which is scheduled for July 13th.
