Docomo d Card users can now use the Google Pay payment service in their daily transactions. This integration allows the card to be added to Google Wallet, enabling purchases in physical and virtual stores. With the new feature, customers will be able to make contactless payments at Visa and Mastercard terminals throughout the country, in addition to using the card in transport systems and on digital platforms that accept Google Pay.

For the d Card to be accepted on Google Pay, it is essential that the card’s credit number begins with the sequences “4363”, “5344” or “5365”. Customers who have d cards that start with the numbers “4980”, “5302” or “5334” will need to update or change the number to ensure compatibility with the Google payments platform.

The configuration method varies depending on the link with Docomo. Anyone who has a cell phone contract with the operator and configures the service through the d Card application must use SP mode to complete the process. On the other hand, for users without a Docomo cell phone contract, configuration must be done directly through the Google Wallet app.

To take advantage of the new functionality, it is essential to have the Google Wallet and d Card applications installed on your mobile device. It is important to highlight that the “iD” electronic money service maintains its usual operation via Osaifu-Keitai (digital wallet) and is not compatible with Google Pay, meaning it must be used separately, as usual.
