On the morning of June 14, 2026, a scene of profound pain marked the site of the collision of two helicopters in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, west of Rio de Janeiro. A man, present in the area of the tragedy, received the harsh news of the confirmation of one of the six fatal victims of the accident.
Journalists from GloboNews, who were at the scene of the incident, made attempts to establish contact with the individual, who was visibly shaken by the information received.
To date, authorities such as the Fire Department and Civil Defense of Rio de Janeiro have not released the complete list with the names of the dead. It is known that five of the victims were on board one of the aircraft, in addition to the pilot of the second helicopter.
The Air Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (Cenipa) has already released the prefixes of the vehicles involved in the impact: PP-MAC and PR-DJJ.
